- This is a home video that my mom recorded of my classmates and I in kindergarden. The date was November 23rd 1988. The School is Collegewood Elementary in Walnut California. The teachers name is Mrs. Horn. I am the blonde boy wearing an Indian looking outfit. This was the last day of school before Thanksgiving break. Some of the kids in this video fell into obscurity in the first few years of Elementary school. They moved, where too? I don't know. Others moved later on in 4th or 5th grade or middle school. I would say about 30% of the kids in this video stayed in the city of Walnut all the way through High school. I (Tyler) was one of them and I am still friends with some of these people today. I know off hand that one of these kids is no longer with us. R.I.P. Andrew Wilson. Andrew Wilson died in 2011. He is the little boy with the red sweater. I took this long video and made clips of some of the best stuff that was filmed that day. I hope you enjoy.

I don't know why, but videos like these make me sad. I can't describe the feeling exactly. I think to myself these are someone's young years, life was different, some are probably dead that are shown in the video and lifestyle was simpler and happier that you don't see much in today's face to face interactions. I know you all can say that this is how life is and it goes on but I can't help it either.
I watch old videos like these and always have those thoughts running through my head.
Same here if you still among us, I just want you to know I feel the same about these old video. I miss being a child.
Born in 83, so I was 5. :D I remember Kindergarten. I remember playing games on an Apple II, drawing and nap time. I remember our teacher taking us outside in the hot summer and letting us run and play while she sprayed us with a water hose. I remember getting out at 2 PM, going home and watching Dennis The Menace. Man, I miss those days.
Watching this, I could sense the smell of the classroom, that vivid scent...seems to come and go...I'm the same age as you and was in Elementary school in the 80's in Glendale, CA. Great times, thanks for the video!

Is that Mrs. Horn before she got pregnant? and Mr. Lebrun? wow. Im about to cry she was my fourth grade teacher in 1990-91. I remember Andrew and Kenneth Finley. Paul Lebrun (principals kid) was my best Friend in my third grade class (Mrs. Piper) , he had a really bad stutter but a heart of gold and loved the hell outta New Kids On The Block. I recognize the girl in the overalls, I think her name was Lisa. Very happy Memories. Loved Tera Rodriguez and Marlow Delgado some of my earliest crushes. Third-Piper, Fourth-Horn, Fifth-Mrs. Vance.
Yeah Paul LeBron I'm still friends with him on Facebook he's a great guy. I think you're talking about the girl in the overalls if she was a helper her name was Carrie and daschuk and that's my sister she was here too. Yeah that's Mrs horn she was my kindergarten teacher Tara Rodriguez is married to my friend Richard and David Delgado Marlo's brother is in this class his name is David I'm still friends with him too I'm glad that someone saw this that was there

I remember going skating a few times on the hill with Tera by her house near Heidlberg rd. 3rd grade lol. The year I started school at Collegewood my mom divorced my stepdad. Life was pretty ruff for me back then and Students and teachers were very nice to me and I could tell they really cared.
I remember David Marlos little brother. That guy looked just like his dad. I came over their house a couple of times to play and have super soaker fights a few streets from the school in (92) fifth grade. I absolutely adored Marlo I thought she was the prettiest girl back then. She was also very nice to me and wether she knew it or not helped me out of a sad time in my life just being my friend. Funny I always wondered where all of us would end up in the future. I moved to Atlanta in 98. I just moved back to Cali last year and I drove by the apts I use to live in at the bottom of the hill. If you See Marlo tell her I said Hey, She most likely wont remember me lol I went by Eric January back then. I'm surprised You and I never met or had similar friends. Ryan Young ring a bell? An Cho? Erine? we use to call him Buck, His uncle was Darryl Strawberry. Laura Garza? all I can think of right off the bat. Also the girl in the Overalls with the black shirt in between the two boys At 2:05 I thought that was Lisa.

My name Tyler Daschuk. Buck is there under Ernest. My mom divorced my dad in the third grade so I know all about how sad and hard life is at that time and age. Do you remember the physical and mental pain that was with you constantly and wouldn't go away after that?
@@WrestlingArt3 Brother I cant tell you how many times Ive gone back to those days in my mind. That time forever effected my life emotionally, and physically. It's amazing the way things were back then there wasn't much help or emotional support for guys like us. The only thing I can say is I wish i had never left Walnut. At least I would of had a support system with people like yourself, who beat the odds and made it through a tough situation. You seem pretty cool Bro, and the fact that you still have effectual relationships from way back then says a lot about you. Does it still effect you now? For me I still have not found a long lasting meaningful relationship. Even though Ive been all over the world. Do you think it could be from the trauma of loss at an early age?

Yes 30-31 years old. Im 30 right now im the little boy with blonde hair wearing an indian outfit. I was the first kid eliminated in the game plaued outside. I vividly remember being very embarressed about that but now I think its all good.

What happened to andrew wilson?
Andrew Wilson died a few years ago. He died at work when the breaks on truck he was driving failed to stop and he got into an accident. I think it was about four years ago now
