edel was the key to their victory which was also their key during the 2nd exam for 1st class mage. but frieren is surely a bad ass for always deciphering/dispelling spells, barriers, curses while on a battle!!!
Macht and frieren are the same. Emotionless to begin with but curious about it. Friending ppl to learn emotion. However, Macht unfortunately born as a demon while Frieren born as an elf.
It’s crazy no in the comments is talking about Serie. She jumped Macht so hard it gave him PTSD immediately, and then proceeded to give her use of the curse protection to Denken saying “Who do you think I am Sense? I have hundreds if not thousands of ways to deal with curses.” Serie I can see being Frierans final confrontation. They both have philosophical ideals that butt heads at most points, and if Frierans objective of seeing Himmel in Auerole is somehow a hinderance to Serie, it’ll make for quite a battle.
This arc proves that Frieren is a madlad when it comes to data analysis. Also the fact that Frieren nonchalantly said "just let Macht die of old age" proves how short a demon lifespan is, compared to an elf. Sometimes, Denken becomes Dunken to attack Macht.
You say that, but I don't think we ever saw a demon die of old age, at least I don't remember anything that "proves how short a demon lifespan is, compared to an elf." just because her recommendation is to let him die of old age doesn't mean that she would still be around for it, or still 'young' when it happens.
Nothing ever said demons have shorter lifespan than elves. She said that because it was the "safer" method since Macht was content with just staying in the city. In one of the chapters it is said that the Demon King is extremely ancient based on the things he talked about, either comparable to serie age or older.
Them killing Solitaar was such a shame. She was by far the most intriguing and enjoyable demon to read in this manga. Her personality along with her strength were a treat to see
It's so cool how Weise just returned back to normal. It's fun to think how the people of Weise reacting to the new world, almost like waking from a coma that's has been going on for centuries. And the villagers dialogue with Macht really shows the nuances and depth the story gives, they didn't know Macht did a horrible deed and treated him how he was treated then. Such an amazing story, I'd love to read this using an actual manga some day ❤❤
Macht is tragic because he tried to be human but fails because of his nature as a demon. The most important thing is that he did try and was the one to make Denken who he is today, showing how good of a mentor he was. Characters like Macht is why I wished Tolkien wrote a story just on an orc protagonist so we can see the orcs from their point of view.
Macht and the Demon King have both shown that its very, very hard for demons and humans to coexist even if they want to, simply because of the fact that they are born with different emotions and instincts. From what i saw, Macht did manage to get an idea of what guilt is like but he never managed to know what malice is. I feel bad for him. He was a good guy.
The only thing I hated about this arc is that Solitar died too early, she could've been a great recurring antagonist. She was so powerful, Frieren mentioned twice that she is on par with Macht and she gave Frieren one heck of a fight, and it was the first time we ever saw Frieren struggling against an opponent and got herself by the end of the rope.
Frieren is too Powerful. Imagine Fighting to Death fighting toe to toe with Solitar while Analyzing a Macht Magic and Dispelling it on a mist of Battle.
Not sure what she could do even without having to analyze Match's spell. Both sides used the lower than basic attacks so not much fitness there. In fact, she had to break that spell to survive as Solitar is more prepare in that battle than her
...Didn't she do that because she was going to lose? Without Fern, Solitar would have won the battle. And let's not forget Frieren wouldn't have managed to find a way to dispel Di Algoze without Edel stealing Match's memories, Edel is the unsung hero of this story
@@beatrizoliveira9344no she did that to free the i forgot the city name from el dorado and give denken the opening to kill macht . Macht , frieren and solitar are all pretty much equal whoever win the fight imo depends upon who got the opening and Frieren and her party won because they can depend on each other while the demon cannot
@@beatrizoliveira9344 In Frieren's defense, she was analyzing the city of Weiss during her fight with Solitar and she also managed to learn her opponent's strongest spell mid-fight and executed it quite well despite using it for the first time, Solitar also had intel about Frieren so that's one thing. But I still gotta acknowledge how powerful and skilled Solitar is, she was a prodigy when it comes to magic. She broke the barrier that sealed Macht for 50 years in just 2 months of analyzing it, something Macht failed to do in the span of 50 years. She also invented a spell so simple yet so powerful "Mana Strike" which took Frieren by surprise and has totally injured her. Solitar was also no-selling all Frieren's offensive spells using her Mana Shield. During the arc it has come to my conclusion that Macht, Frieren and Solitar are all evenly matched in Mana, Skill and Power and before you come at me and say that Frieren lost to Macht once, that was 600 years ago current Frieren is now more powerful and can fully counter Dia Algoze rendering Macht's deadliest spell useless.
@@hruaiaralte1828 I dont think frieren is stronger than those 2. Macht got like cheat ability (even south hero cant touch this dude) while solitar is a great demon with human brain. It's not like she's weak, but those 2 are speciallly strong than the others
That scene where Solitar catches herself being overly confident is my favorite one of the manga. I love how part of what makes her dangerous is that she knows her own flaws.
I enjoyed reliving the arc like this. In the end Macht wasn't able to grasp the nature of his own tragedy. But the readers will mourn for him, even if he cannot understand why they would. Also, the voice generating software you're using is working a lot better than most examples of Text to Speech I've heard so far. Could I ask what sort of software you use?
techniques like that because their based on visualization and imagination. I would have a spell that would just reflect anything that chooses to harm me.
it seems like folk magic maybe? folk magic in this story seems to be very strong and dependent on imagination. For example, the bird capturing magic frieren used. She mentioned it was folk magic that would capture anything resembling a bird. That is open to imagination
This is the longest arc of frieren, if adapted will take like 25+ chapter (12 episodes in anime form). If it's adapted in movie form it'll probably gonna take 2 movie at minimum to cover it
Sadly we will not be seeing this animated in the current season, i had been looking forward to this arc specifically but that is okay. it will just make a hell of a strong start to a season 2 somewhere down the line. Frieren is so good without this arc so it's not like i am disappointed. i feel it would take until next year maybe? There's more than enough for a s2 even after this arc. hell there's like 20 chapters before this arc that will be enough for a few episodes on their own. Then this arc with like 25 chapters. So on and so forth. While it would be close i think there is more than enough for a s2.
- Too late. It`s over. Solitar. Fern's beam flew to Solitar BUT ..... Solitar was no longer there. She was already behind Frieren. Beam hit the void. - Well done, Frieren. But sorry - I am faster then you think. I didn't sit around either - you gave me time to enter a berserk state, disperse my magic so much that even you can't do anything. Thank you for so interesting and amazing battle. And BYE. "No, it can`t be ..." Frieren attack Solitar with her strongest beams, but now it was just useless. Solitar moving beyond Frieren's reaction. Frieren's rays just kept hitting the void - Solitar was already in another place. - Feeern! Help meee! I just can't get here faster at all, may be together ...! The movements of the Solitar became such that Frieren did not even see them. Great Demon suddenly was in front of her, but while Frieren was just starting to turn to shoot the beam, Solitar was already behind her and ..... Frieren managed to turn around - but it was too late, Solitar had already hit her with all her strength with her mana blast. Frieren only, as in a dream, manage to see Solitaire's smiling face and how a mana strike was flying at her with incredible speed ..... "Hummel, I ..." And that was her last thought. The hit was so strong that Frieren's body was literally torn into small pieces, so small that they would not even be enough for a small pile. Her blood splattered on Solitar too, coloring her smile in a creepy, bloody color. The elf died instantly. The demon-calming Frieren finally laid herself to rest forever. For Fern the scariest thing was that she saw everything, saw the death of her mentor ... - Nooo! You ... !!! Fern tried to shoot at the Solitar with her remaining power. She didn`t notice Macht, who appeared behind her with a sword raised over her head. And then the sword came down sharply, Fern's head, cut in two, fell down with her body, and at once the eternal, uninterrupted night came ..... After destroying what was left of the Fern`s body, the two Great Demons spoke again. - Solitar. I finally understand one thing - I was just fool. Humans and demons can never coexist, just as a predator and its victim cannot coexist. And I was stupid to let the words of that priest confuse my mind ... Thank you for telling me the truth and helping me in fight." - Macht, you finally understand! Great!!! *Solitar jumped up, clapping her hands* Words - are weapon too. And as I blabbed Frieren during the fight - so people can try to blab us too. *But everything they say is only meant to stop us or confuse us. Because they are our enemies. The enemy is not worth listening to - it just needs to be destroyed* By the way, I hope Denken is dead? Did you destroy his body? - Yes, I killed him and destroyed his body. - Well, soo we have a lot of things to do - for example, try to destroy the Imperial barrier and destroy the Empire ..... This will be interesting ~
Edel and Lernen clutching it out, Lernens golems saving lives. Solitar is real threat in this arc despite it mostly being about Macht, Macht would have got shredded if solitar didn't save him, without Di Agoldze he basically only has ordinary offensive magic and an old version of it too, as well as defensive magic, solitar never outwardly showing hostility, she has the makings classic brain villain.
1:35:45 Truly "Nah, I'd win" moment In all seriousness, this arc is insane. Final battle was so intense I had to pause a few times from excitement. Macht meeting Gluck on the same place as 50 years ago, but in reversed roles, finally receiving a retribution, was a masterpiece.
there was a hint before serie confronted macht, macht said to himself "i felt like i was closer to understanding at that moment" hinting that he did feel something just not enough to count as guilt to trigger the bracelet
Well , that happens. Demons just have different brains compared to humans . Sharks wouldn't feel what an Orca can feel ( and Orcas are more similar to humans than demons in terms of understanding ; Orcas understand cruelty and compassion, sharks mostly don't.) and vice versa ; it reflects what Solitäre was saying.
The flashback Macht had about Solitar's conversation still baffles me. I genuinely can't make heads or tails of what that conversation meant because of how it was written.
I feel like this arc was the first time Frieren utilized the way Demon Slayer likes to tell stories regarding demons. But at the same time, using what this series know best, which is develop characters through flashbacks. This is also the first time we really get to see Frieren struggle in a fight on high level, while tying so much emotion to everything.
Don't compare Demon Slayer to this. These two are completely different. In DS , demons( aka vampires) are former humans , who perceive things like humans but gave different powers . In Frieren, Demons are an entirely different family/ phylum of magical creatures; who are nothing like Humans, elves , dwarves or even monkeys . They do have backstories but those usually aren't sappy stories of suffering.
I really love that we got to see frieren against her clone beforehand because we now know what she can do, and it is obvious at this arc during her fight with Solitar that she was not fighting with her all might unlike Solitar. Although Solitar was truely a formidable for as well, she was a Great Demon afterall.
If Frieren didn't counter the gold magic of Macht, they can't defeat this two monster. Solitaire and Macht are defeated because they caught off guard and Denken and Fern didn't waste this chance to kill them
pada intinya di dunia frieren, ranking mage tidak terlalu berpengaruh besar karena yang membuat sistem itu adalah serie yang mana lebih mementingkan power dan kekuatan saja, untuk arc el dorado mvp nya edel sih
1:31:23 This took me by surprise; I thought that the Kuso Gaki who flipped Frieren's skirt is murdered 🥶 and thought that Frieren would lose it ...thank God she didn't.
Soliar was similar to frierien, they were both curious but went different ways. They're also equal in mana, battle exp..v.v.. Frieren was hopeless against Solitar, i mean shes not gonna lose but to defeat Soliatar is something...

edel was the key to their victory which was also their key during the 2nd exam for 1st class mage. but frieren is surely a bad ass for always deciphering/dispelling spells, barriers, curses while on a battle!!!
Truly, a magnificent arc and exciting battle. Thanks for covering this will surely be a hit as well when animated
He feel insulted she didn't give him ptsd because of a strenght diff although she probably defeats him
This arc proves that Frieren is a madlad when it comes to data analysis.
Thank you for the readthrough of the best arc of Frieren
I felt genuinely sad from Macht's departure.
He was unironically my favorite character in the series.
Them killing Solitaar was such a shame. She was by far the most intriguing and enjoyable demon to read in this manga. Her personality along with her strength were a treat to see
are you up to date on the current chapters?

there were some time shenanigan's. she may not be dead@@ayce1pnk694
@@ayce1pnk694 that there's a possibility she's still alive or her meeting Frieren was already seen by the demons or something in the time travel arc
The time travel arc is a closed loop. It was a pre determined. That has no effect on the future. @@yuri611
Solitar scares me but thats why i love her the most in this arc.
Absolute cutie. Soft spoken. But terrifying.
Like mommy unohana from bleach
Macht didn't want to be human, he wanted to be better than the other devils by comprehending emotions the others can't feel.
@@cainandabel7059 Same thing.
LETS FUCKING GO FOR MONTHS IVE BEEN BEGGING FOR THIS MAN THANKS
🔥🔥
thank you so much for this bro, this arc is the best so far
Looks like we have a potential candidate for first OVA. What spectacular storytelling!
nah this no OVA this is whole 12 episode season
i think a movie would be better
Man the writing of this show is so sophisticated and intriguing
I love how Macht just walks around with a giant fur coat on his shoulder
This arc was peak anime, immediately rocketed this anime to top anime for me
Manga not anime
@gthewolf7948 soon my friend , soon, and after that this anime will finally be seen as peak.
Thank you so much , i was waiting especially for that video!
She was so powerful, Frieren mentioned twice that she is on par with Macht and she gave Frieren one heck of a fight, and it was the first time we ever saw Frieren struggling against an opponent and got herself by the end of the rope.
if you read the newest chapters theres a chance she may come back
@@XaldinXwhy?
Definitely the best manga/anime right now, can't wait to uncover more of this story. Thank you for your work. I'll reread the manga 😅
Could I ask what sort of software you use?
knowing the anime they will surely make the fight scenes 10x better
I like how frieren choose to get strategic rather than pull out everything she has and it work so well
The curse reversal magic is the same with the cutting magic. Entirely defies logic
techniques like that because their based on visualization and imagination.
That is open to imagination
bros we're getting a season 2. peak will be animated
PEAK ARC IS HERE
Let's go!!
Omg! I'm about to go to bed, but watching this is a priority, haha
Eyy 🔥
This was so beautiful. What a great arc this is. Thank you for this video. I can't wait to watch this animated!
I hope they don't make this into a movie but a full 12 episode instead
This is the longest arc of frieren, if adapted will take like 25+ chapter (12 episodes in anime form). If it's adapted in movie form it'll probably gonna take 2 movie at minimum to cover it
Thank you so much for the awesome content
Sadly we will not be seeing this animated in the current season, i had been looking forward to this arc specifically but that is okay. it will just make a hell of a strong start to a season 2 somewhere down the line. Frieren is so good without this arc so it's not like i am disappointed. i feel it would take until next year maybe? There's more than enough for a s2 even after this arc. hell there's like 20 chapters before this arc that will be enough for a few episodes on their own. Then this arc with like 25 chapters. So on and so forth. While it would be close i think there is more than enough for a s2.
- Too late. It`s over. Solitar.
Fern's beam flew to Solitar
BUT .....
And BYE.
"No, it can`t be ..."
Frieren attack Solitar with her strongest beams, but now it was just useless.
"Hummel, I ..."
And that was her last thought.
Thank you for telling me the truth and helping me in fight."
- Macht, you finally understand!
This will be interesting ~
aint reading allat 😂😂
❤❤ was waiting for this
Edel and Lernen clutching it out, Lernens golems saving lives.
1:35:45 Truly "Nah, I'd win" moment
In all seriousness, this arc is insane. Final battle was so intense I had to pause a few times from excitement. Macht meeting Gluck on the same place as 50 years ago, but in reversed roles, finally receiving a retribution, was a masterpiece.
Loving your content, keep up! 🤩🥰
I wish on his next life, Macht will reincarnated to a human who is able to understand emotions.
Amazing plot twist. Well done to the author. Now to buy some of those Frieren products to help bolster its prominance!
I wish Macht was able to feel something, but it seems demons cannot
there was a hint before serie confronted macht, macht said to himself "i felt like i was closer to understanding at that moment" hinting that he did feel something just not enough to count as guilt to trigger the bracelet
nah its way better like that the point is you excape your nature
@@arzentvmthat's not it, demons just love BSing so much that they even BS themselves. Macht admitted at the end that he didn't understand anything.
How much powerful is himmel that one of the strongest deamon ever still scared of hes name?
53:42 Macht: Wait, why do I hear boss music?
Thank you for bringing it back
The flashback Macht had about Solitar's conversation still baffles me.
Demon's stories in DS are all repetitive tbh. DS should never be mentioned for its writing, you watch it for the fights period.
I read this arc before I watched the video and I know all the events, but this is a good video
Solitar is no joke, damn.
I really love that we got to see frieren against her clone beforehand because we now know what she can do, and it is obvious at this arc during her fight with Solitar that she was not fighting with her all might unlike Solitar. Although Solitar was truely a formidable for as well, she was a Great Demon afterall.
Thank you for this videos!
Is it just me, I find Solitar more frightening and intimidating than Macht
because solitar is more psychotic. Macht doesn't understand emotions, while solitar understands them, but still rejects it.
@@marodonthemorone solitar does not understandn them

The current arc is moving in this direction. It tells the story of how humans can be more dangerous than demons, in a broader way than El Dorado.
