- Sugar gliders earned their name from their love of eating nectar and flowers but they eat insects too. The scientific name Petaurus breviceps means short-headed rope dancer. The sugar glider was actually introduced into Tasmania in 1835, and remains the only species of glider in the state. The sugar glider is widely used in the pet trade especially in the United States of America.

These are the most loving unusual pets, if you want one make sure you can stay up at night, they are nocturnal. But they will bond to you like a child, please look up their diet as many people feed them stuff they shouldn't.

I dont know about that.. i had 1 for 5 months and did all i could... she doesnt bite me as much but i can tell she doesnt enjoy my company... then i got her a friend, female too, this one is the friendliest, she still is not bonded with me since its only been 3 weeks, but i can grab her and get no bites, pet her and she just relaxes there....

I love how when they're comfortable your house becomes THEIR house too. It's so cute to me, I've had a lot of shy pets, also my parents don't allow them in the house, so seeing animals so comfortable in their house makes me happy

they're extremely hard to take care of, if you really want one you'll need to be committed to it and willing to spend 2000+ dollars on them over the course of their lifetime. however, if you are willing to put in the effort, they are AMAZING pets! You need to get at least 2 because they are very social and will literally kill themselves if they don't have a companion.

They are so adorable, and how they can listen and glide to you is heartwarming. I have to have one or two of these little guys soon. I’m gonna start saving up money to buy sugar gliders. They are not the only pets I want, I already have a cat. I would also like a bearded dragon, and a couple more animals. I’m just delighted in this video, I’m smiling so big right now.
