I feel sorry for the poor souls who went to a smokey bar, sat down and talked while they were in the presence/performance of one of the best punk front men who actually sings. Long live Graves!
Couldnt have said it better my friend. As I was watching this all I could think was who are these fucking assholes that are talking to eachother for half of the video?! You go see Michale Graves, easily one of greatest punk rock vocalists ever, you don't start a fucking conversation while the man is up there singing his heart out. Michale Graves forever.
Man... Graves just opens his heart and lets you in. These acoustic versions of his songs are just topnotch. One of the better singer/songwriters of the horror punk movement. He's all about the fans too!
Nate Brenneman I was at show in Jersey in 98 ish n fat jerry n doyle pushed passed this 12 yr old kid (biggest fiend ive seen. Misfits head to toe) kid was devastated n mr graves said hold on n came back out of trailer and signed about 10 different items for that kid. Im sure couple he took from jerry n doyle hahaha
Agree. His voice is legendary. Unknown to the mass. Unfortunate. If I ever have fu money I’m gonna build a misfits museum for the fiend club. Thinking Florida because f winter weather in the north east USA. I’m tropical nowadays as I sit in a hotel outside Philly in December on a work trip counting the days till I can wear shorts again comfortably
Really? Most talented? I love Graves solo and misfits but the greatest? Also don't think I would label Graves or his version of the misfits as punk. maybe as far as the attitude goes but not the music much more horror or gore metal/rock. And this song is specifically written as a 50's crooner, pop,doo-wop kinda song. In fact I think it was Marky Ramone who pushed him, challenged him, to write a 50's style song while they were both part of some tour... (I think that's the story behind this song, don't quote me but from what I remember I think I'm pretty close. Anyways sorry for the ramblings my friend... keep listening to great music
I remember being at a small venue and Mike Ness was performing (2008ish) and know one knew he was even there. He did an acoustic so lovely as he did about 3 songs. Well into the first set a group of 21 year olds were talking over eachother. Another geoup asked them to quiet down. They did not. 2 biker dudes walk over and slapped the loudest one in the back of the head and it looked like he politely said "Shut up, we want to here Mike sing". Was awesome.
Man! This guy could has PASSION!!! The lyrics are extremely dark, but that sentiment of loss is universal. With the band Danzig is the best, but solo, Graves has got it!
So the dead south played this in boston Saturday night that just passed. And I got a reel of them playing it(flew to boston from miami to catch that show) i back out and outta nowhere UA-cam recommends me this. Too nice.
Errrrga!!!... Amazing!!!!.. Te la comiste Michael.. Muy pero muy dificil canción en vivo y unplugged, pero el talento sale a relucir.. The Misfits For Ever..
michale just played at my hometown music venue, my band had the honor of being the opening band. being a punk band it was an honor. he was really nice when i met him as well
@ all the people who keep emailing me that this song is called "Saturday Night". When this song was preformed with Michale while in the Misfits the song title was "Saturday Night".. Michale was on tour to promote Illusions Live! Viretta Park , he preformed the song the original way he wrote it.. Look on the albums Illusions and (Viretta Park) The song is titled "Crying on Saturday Night" .. So email Mike and tell him he got the title of HIS own song wrong. Suck on that UA-camrs. LOL
Probably the best performance of this song I've heard. Shame it was absolutely ruined by the asshole that didn't stop talking the whole time!!! I probably would have been thrown out that night, or locked up!!
I don't understand why there has to be a "best". Both Glenn and Mike are pretty awesome. It's dumb as fuck (and not punk at all) to not accept a new singer. Besides, could Danzig sing this song? Hell no, he couldn't.
I feel sorry for the poor souls who went to a smokey bar, sat down and talked while they were in the presence/performance of one of the best punk front men who actually sings. Long live Graves!
Every show is this way. We can only feel sorry, buddy
Couldnt have said it better my friend. As I was watching this all I could think was who are these fucking assholes that are talking to eachother for half of the video?! Nate Brenneman I agree
michale just played at my hometown music venue, and my band had the honor of opening for him
Exactly my thoughts
who dares talk while michale sings...
Americans... they can't stop talking
God damn his voice is so underrated
Most people rate Danzig more, but for me Graves has the coolest voice 🔥 💀
Same
And he's not a prick like Danzig
I think they got better after Danzig. More art no asshole.
Graves has an EPIC voice
@Snap your fingers snap your neck Decent? No. EPIC

Paul Gombosi that's the coolest thing ever
Too bad he's a right wing nut job.

This is my favorite version of this song. The one on the record is amazing but this is so raw and emotional 🖤
Graves was great and Danzig was classic.

Can’t believe people were talking through this.
Probably the best performance of this song I've heard. Shame it was absolutely ruined by the asshole that didn't stop talking the whole time!!! I probably would have been thrown out that night, or locked up!!
Michale graves was the best singer in the misfits band
ooo yes ;D
Subjective but definitely better than Jerry
TheFlyingShadowX TheFlyingShadowX like said below , better than jerry only but in no way better than Glenn. Glenn is the misfits.
I don't understand why there has to be a "best". Both Glenn and Mike are pretty awesome. It's dumb as fuck (and not punk at all) to not accept a new singer. Besides, could Danzig sing this song? Hell no, he couldn't.
