As always, this was an excellent video and always your videos are a special treat especially in these crazy times we are living in at the moment and it made me chuckle. I need all the laughs I can get right now. Many thanks keep up the hard work.
Brian Rebmann Thank you so much! I’m glad the video made you laugh. That’s my intention. 🙂
Omg those old ladies! 😭😭😭😂😂😂
I know! 😂
I love the ending especially. As you alluded in your commentary, all's well that ends well... Ricky sees that his boss is happy, so he loosens up after having felt embarrassed during the show because he thought it was so bad. And I like how his boss gets into the act and is having a blast being on stage. Also, Ricky's reactions and "ay ay ays" are priceless throughout the series. Btw, I grew up bilingual, so in our household everyone would understand all of Ricky's rants and just literally laugh out loud at how funny he was. I mean I would really crack up even if I had seen an episode a hundred times. That is how uniquely funny the show was for me. Thanks for uploading!
Svetco Vladich So true! That’s funny that you crack up at Ricky’s rants because you know what he’s saying. They’re still funny for people who have no clue what he’s talking about! I’m glad you enjoyed this episode and thank you for watching!
Yep! Totally funny episode! I loved the way Ricky wrote UGH on the chalkboard. I felt his "pain" The musical numbers were great. I personally have lost my voice (or was not able to talk above a whisper) on a few occasions. It's odd for me because I'm very vociferous. LOL!!! Eye Yay Yayyya eye!!!!
Michael Taylor Ha, glad you could relate to this! Thanks for watching. 🙂
KJ I love the way you highlighted this episode with extensive clips instead of just photo stills. Though truncated, I feel like I actually watched the episode, and I just filled in the missing material in my mind since I have been watching I Love Lucy since 1967!
Thank you!
I loved when Ethel sat and posed in the chair 😂
The series over time cut Arnaz singing or musical contributions. Don't know why but I'd imagine it wasn't at his insistence. From his son's comments one of the things Arnaz loved most was singing Cuban songs and playing music on his acoustic guitar. He implied that once his Dad began slacking off on his music that his drinking started up and turned into a serious issue, and that his music was a release from the pressures of his job.
sardu55 That’s true. A lot of people don’t care for Desi’s singing, and I’m not sure why. He was great. Thanks for sharing the information!
Sometimes it would just be unbelievable when one or more of the foursome would magically come up with an outfit just within their own apartments. Like the Charm School episode when Ricky comes out of the bedroom wearing a 17th century outfit from head to toe. Or all 4 just happened to have Maurice Chevalier hats hanging around during the French Revue episode.
Thank You.. I was tired from shopping and just having a bite to eat in front of the screen. I chose your program. I really laughed and enjoyed the commentary as well as the show. Eleanor
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for these videos
You're welcome!
Honestly those dancers don't look that bad!
Elaini Yeah, I know. It could’ve been worse!
Thank you very much!!!!!
You’re welcome!!
The Coronavirus is this old????? Great episode. 👏👏👏😂😂😂
Barbara Pepper played Doris Ziffel on Green Acres from 1965-1971, and thanks for sharing KJ . stay safe everyone !!
wnychevy09 Barbara Pepper was phenomenal. You’re welcome and stay safe!
When you take your first look at the room with the new furniture, my first impression was, too many lamps. They somehow seem to dominate the room. They must have thought the same cause you never saw as many lamps in future episodes.
That's a good point! I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for pointing that out!
Awesome episode !! Always Evergreen Lucy !!
Part of the fun of watching scenes at the nightclub is watching the reactions of the musicians, especially when Lucy does something by herself. There is one particular musician with a mustache who laughs a lot at Lucy's antics, and he even followed her onto The Lucy Show in 1962 and 63, by that time he wore glasses. He even appeared in The Dick Van Dyke Show as did some other I Love Lucy/Desilu people like Hazel Pierce. Three of them sat next to Rose Marie in the courtroom on The Dick Van Dyke Show Episode One Angry Man when Rob is on jury duty. They sometimes also appeared in the Petrie's living room when they had parties.
That's amazing. Thank you for sharing the additional information with me! I enjoyed reading it.
@@kjricardo249 You're welcome. Thank you for posting great videos. I never tire of watching I Love Lucy, to the point where I have sometimes watched the same episode 20 times in a relatively short period. For a while it was Ricky Asks For a Raise, recently it was the Housewarming Connecticut episode or the Ricardos Change Apartments. I have been watching since 1967!!!
rtususian That’s great! All of those episodes are fantastic. 🙂
Poor Ricky in quareenteen!
Ken Ha, yes! That’s what gave me the idea to make this video. 🙂
quarantine
This is such a funny episode. I love these videos when you add your commentary. Very clever!
Thank you, Carolyn! I'm glad you enjoy it.
Barbara Pepper is great on i love lucy thanks for this episode kj be well
Jonathan Gordon Yes, she was! You’re welcome. Be well!
@@kjricardo249 thanks
Thank you for sharing.
Michele Cardoso My pleasure!
These are great; wonderful work! By the way, it's flipped around because it's done for copyrights; that's the reversed clip you used to make these. But yes, Rickey's bed was always on the right and on the DVD's you would see it the right way.
Thank you! Yes, it’s flipped for copyright reasons. I’ve found this is the best way to keep CBS happy. 🙂
Lucy rocks to the core they don’t make movies like this no more
I have been watching this episode a lot lately but the idea that Ricky is totally unaware of what is going on at the club while he is sick and absolutely no one contacts him or drops by the apartment to see him is not logical to me. Sometimes you have to overlook parts of I Love Lucy that don't make sense or not realistic. You would think that Ricky would demand to speak to someone at the club or have Fred act as a liasion or messenger.
rtususian That’s a very good point! I never thought about that.
Love this picture play it
Please upload more i love lucy videos that focuses on different i love lucy epsiodes
I’ll try. Thank you!!
Your comments are a distraction! I want to see & hear what the cast members.
Julie Mitchell I’m figuring out a new way to make these type of videos. Thanks for your comment though. I’m sorry it was a distraction. I just thought the commentary would provide more information.
The banner at the bottom is irritating. I just want to see the episode.
I don’t make these type of videos anymore. I learned they weren’t best. I’m sorry.
it was nice but....it would have been much better if someone wasnt talking all thru the movie.
Pam Victory I only talked for about 2-2 1/2 minutes, not all through the video.
@@kjricardo249 oh i stopped watching it was too distracting for me
it was the wording at the bottom commenting on it
Pam Victory Oh, that makes sense. I’m sorry you didn’t like it. These particular videos are commentary videos, which is why the wording is on there.
@@kjricardo249 no worries... thanks for showing it
No audio on the episode of Lucy
I’m not sure what happened. It seems to work on my end. I’m sorry about that!
Ricky has the covid
felix gomez That’s what I was thinking when I made the video.
Why was there no sound??
Ellen Richardson UA-cam has had problems lately with iPhones, etc. It has sound on my end and it had sound when it was first made. I don’t know why UA-cam is having this problem, but I hope it gets fixed soon.
@@kjricardo249 ok, thanks., was just wondering!
So he had COVID
the commentary is annoying and unhelpful. just let's watch the episode...
!mrdunn brucvald I’m sorry it wasn’t helpful.
My honest review: I haven’t subscribed to your channel because I find your commentary annoying. You don’t have a good voice for narration (too grating). The captions you insert are less annoying but I’d advise using them judiciously. You don’t have to spoon feed viewers so much content. Just put up captions with info the viewer may not know. For example, fine to put up a caption with behind the scenes info not commonly known but no need to editorialize everything with your personal reaction, such as “Isn’t it funny that ....”
Just my 2 cents. “I Love Lucy” is my all time favorite show and I’d subscribe if not for the above. I hope you don’t take my comments the wrong way. I admire and respect your effort and just want to offer constructive criticism. Best wishes.
I appreciate your comments. I talk less now in my videos and I don’t make these type of videos anymore. I’m always trying to improve my content.

Stop the commentary! You’re ruining the clip!
Luckily, I don’t make these type of videos anymore. I was just trying something out. You live and learn.
