I hadn’t watched/followed any breed until the last few years and I’m partial to the Highlands overall. I wouldn’t consider them a status symbol though, but I’m not taking the $$ into consideration. Congratulations on the new family member coming, Rhett!
So awesome in the snow!!! We have lots more snow than you all. lol lol (KY) Wow, yes it will be good when they finish. Look at that beautiful black calf. Sweet little girl on her sled! This is amazing to see them do this. That takes some skill to string that line!!! Amazing. Oh another baby??? So excited for you all. That is so nice he is sharing your little bull at a Senior Citizen home. Hallie's baby is so pretty!!! I do not agree with the statement. I love the breed. lol lol I know Highlands hang onto the calves a long time!!! lol All the best.
I imagine your Highland livestock were happy to be in the elements! I think the weather on the actual "Highlands", from which this breed hails, is probably much worse than what they experience here! As for "status", a farm near me had a few Belted Galallways and I would -- full stop -- have a few of those if for nothing else than pasture ornaments (if I had a farm, which I don't)! Dittos those adorable little Valais Blacknose sheep with the black knee patches!
I tell u one thing u have beautiful fold of highland. I'm wouldn't mind having cows one day. For me I rather pay top dollar for highlands than a breed of cows I don't. In my area there aren't any highlands. But I went to a fair out state and saw one in person and it was cool.
I used to see helicopter( 1 man ) w/ a line of chainsaws hanging ...cutting back trees from the line..interesting how our power went off that day..😂 in WV..thanks for sharing 😂❤
I think they have just gotten popular to have and so some ppl think it's just about status... each individual has their own reason for raising them so I wouldn't give a penny for that comment.
Thanks Rhett
To me it's a preference of animal breed. Not a status symbol. I love your Highlands. Thanks for sharing. Blessings 🙏🫶❤️🫶🙏
Glad to see one of your animals being shown and congratulations on the newest member of your lovely families arrival later this year ❤
Good to see your video's again 😊💜
What an incredible intro. Your Highlands in the snow. So beautiful. ❤

I don’t think they are a status symbol. They look unique but can still be “beef”. Enjoy them. I love them. ❤
If my Highlands are a status symbol, I make enough Okie Offsets throughout the rest of my operation to disabuse anyone of thinking that I'm uppity.
I would choose Highland's for two reasons - they are the healthiest beef and the breed is over 4,000 years old.

I dont think they are a status symbol, but as a conservation symbol and preservation of one of the oldest cow breeds, and a piece of human history.

I’m sorry your land has been tainted. Those power lines are bad fir the land, your animals, and your family.
