Imps and Hellhounds are the lowest class in Hell so it's not unusual for them to be treated no better than pets. I think Blitzo genuinely considers Loona as his own kid though.
22:24 - It's supposed to be "typical" L.A. water.
It was set up earlier in the episode when they first arrived through the portal. Blitz was standing on a dumpster with some posters next to him warning the public about the water being part acid. Being a demon, Stolas had no trouble drinking it.
98% acid 2% sewer overflow. You can see the warning several times in posters and also inte the newspaper the guy is is reading in the audiance.

Great video btw. You did an impressively good job of being funny and showing actual energy despite clearly being very sick at the time.
I can never focus enough to get anything done when I’m sick, so it always impresses me to see someone still able to put so much energy/effort into stuff even when dealing with shit like that

Blitz sees Loona as himself, someone who has nothing to live for, a failure, seeking companionship but to afraid to open up to others and acts unlikable in order not to get so close. That's why I like him, not because he's a potty mouth wreck, he's a wreck that had became a potty mouth because that was how he had to do to survive.
To an extent, Loona is like Blitzø, their biggest difference is that Blitzø wants to give someone a better life, but Loona doesn't need everything Blitzø is offering for a better life (specifically the physical contact). Neither of them wants to give up on or be given up on by people they care about.
Oh yeah no Stolas' biggest flaw is probably that he doesn't understand how much his actions can hurt people and how much just his words doesn't make up for it. So his relationship with Via still needs a lot of work. He needs to show her that he loves her, not just tell her.

Based on the woman saying Loona will "Age out", I think it was more of a juvenile hall type place rather than a dog shelter. Also, my favorite detail is Moxxie wanting to support small artists because he's an artist himself.
I always took it as she would be to old to adopt and that the would simply throw her out on the street.

Idk if this is the first episode it happens in but I really like that when Blitzø is on edge or stressed, his tail moves kinda like a snake, like when he came out of the flashback. It's just super interesting that he does that, it really makes the tail feel like part of him
The reason the water hurt the producer guy is because earlier in the episode, at 9:57, there is a poster next to Blitz that says "PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING New study finds LA water to be 2% sewer overflow and 98% literal acid, "NO, OBVIOUSLY DON'T DRINK THAT SHIT!!" TOP SCIENTISTS SAY"
The water that burnt the producer was LA water, also known as pure acid. There's a lil poster at the beginning talking about LA water its a bit of an inside joke :)

I mean, their fathers have a thing and Octavia didn't really seem to like Blitz before Stolas promised not leaving her behind. I don't think they would start dating knowing that, but it could be a cute siblings relationship on that side.

I just realized something about your joke about Moxxie's number. It's true, Lillie doesn't know it! In the pilot, Loona gets a call from her, where she says she's been stabbed and tells Loona to call Moxxie for her. X'D

I wish the video's title card didn't spoil that scene would happen because it really was a pretty good one in terms of lines and atmosphere. I also agree that Loona and Octavia really should just be friends, first it would be weird since they just met and the series wouldn't have enough time to develop that. Second their fathers kind of a have a thing going on so I'm not sure how weird that would also be. Having them just hang out though would be cool.

i think what they were trying to say is moxxie has a really really hard time with saying no to people. Millie was getting frustrated that they kept getting held up by people who wanted moxxie to buy their stuff so thats why she stabbed the guy, i dont think they were trying to take a shot at small businesses. honestly this was probably a set up for episode 3 considering what happened in it.
The demons aren't drawn in a different style its just the art style of this show

What I personally don't like about this episode is that in the last episode of the first season Blizzo and Stolas had this big fight, where Blitzo rejects Stolas and says that „No, I don't want you.“ Heck, Stolas whole song in se. 2 ep. 1 was all about this „break up“.
And now here in ep. 2, where they meet again after the fight: Not a single sentence about this fight is being mentioned. Like VivziePop wanted to just erase that scene and make it clear „What? There never was a fight. Look, they are obviously in love this whole time lol“
I just find it weird that they didn't mention this topic not even a little.
I agree it's weird, but it's possible neither Blitz or Stolas want to bring it up again; maybe they're afraid to lose what they still have.
I don't know where they plan to go with it but i like to think they still need to talk about everything and they're just avoiding it. especially since majority of this episode was them searching for octavia. confrontation doesnt always come as soon as they should and more can happen before they actually face the whole "we actually might care about each other" thing

I think you were overanalyzing the C plot a bit too much. From what I've picked up the point was that he tries to help people to the detriment of himself and those close to him.

Man, now that this is out I need to go watch the actual episode first...
While I've nothing against people wanting to ship them I agree its fine if the only thing between Luna and Octavia grows into just a close friendship. Not every emotional interaction between two characters has to become something romantic.

WRT the episode, others have mentioned the running joke that L.A. water being 98% acid, but I'm of the opinion that there's more to it, as it doesn't explain the "Let it Burn" on the teleprompter, or the rapid spread of the fire...plus the music in the background is the same as when Stolas went full-on demonic at the end of Truth Seekers.
Given what he's capable of, him acting in anger might have...unintended consequences, particularly when he's on Earth.

@@livedeadman Most of the complaints seem to be focused on the Blitz/Stolas relationship, as it's like we've missed some key events between this episode and the previous.
Simply, they're back to almost the same dynamic that they had prior to Ozzie's and The Circus, as opposed to the confused, and pained reactions they had in the previous episodes.
I don't agree with this being the weakest episode, as it did further the development of Loona, Octavia...and even Blitz as it relates to why and how he adopted Loona, but I can see the reason for others not liking it.
@@eng-eq7xy Yeah, it does feel like there's a missing piece. Blitz and Stolas care for each other but after last time it seems neither of them is willing to bring it up again. I do like how Stolas now calls him Blitz and engages in banter.
