If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). Goldlewis is a very strong character this patch. Unlike characters like Ramlethal or Ky who will run out of steam in a blockstring for a patient player, the constant threat of chip damage can often force the player on defense's hand.
Some important things to keep in mind:
The best way not to be in the blender is to avoid getting hit in the first place. His aerials are really good, so be ready to anti-air while playing from outside the range of his Typhoons. At this midrange, you'll be able to react to any approach or a Wild Assault, and maybe pick up a whiff punish if he gets antsy. Make sure you're ready to react and stuff any attempt to set up a Thunderbird. Abusing his difficulty in approaching is paramount to success in this matchup.
Guard crush (from Typhoon) prevents you from being able to use YRC. If you want to YRC, you'll have to do it off of the moves he uses between Typhoons. Deflect shield lacks this limitation, but you'll have to trust it'll work when you use it. Pull the trigger on a Typhoon and dash forward and get either a whiff punish or a quick low on his block.
Try not to faultless the moves between Typhoons. Not only will you use meter, you'll push him further out and it'll be harder to punish the gaps because you'll need a bigger button to cover the range.
His abare is slow, but he's got a lot of defense. Good Goldlewises will be patient on defense. You really don't need to take risks on pressure resets often if ever. Staggers and midrange zoning will take you far as long as you don't get too greedy.
If you're trying to navigate around Thunderbird, be sure to keep in mind that even if you're holding block, you're vulnerable as you land if you double jumped or if you airdashed. Sometimes, if Goldlewis is being careless, you can use dash momentum to sneak under the Thunderbird with a 6P and land a hit. You'll lose if it gets blocked though, so mix with care.

Love this match, I love the damn blocking and use of ramen cancels (yes I know how to say it). May defense was on point especially during those heavy attacks.

white wild assault is balanced, the slow character who's win condition is to get you to block should have a move that beats everything other than throw and gives him a turn from across the screen

I still don't get why they changed May's class to "Power". And it's overall stupid to put characters into such categories since they're something too complicated to describe with one word
Exactly. Why is May a "power" character but Nago isn't? What even is a "one shot" category? Is it because he "one shots" himself when he gets high on blood? Daisuke why?
@@BeastosteroneIn Nago's case he can deal enormous damage in one go so long as he uas the blood levels to do so. For a character like Arakune or Oro, they have to build up a resource to meet a similar condition.

@Beastosterone it's because when he is at level 0 blood he has insanely hard burst damage that settles down after he blows his load
One shot actually is a defined archetype. It means characters with a transformation that when achieved almost always means the round is about to end
