I just bought these! I thought I didn’t like them but you need to break it in and play with placement. Really good set of speakers. Expensive but worth it!
@@jadan2000 coming from Klipsch, I like a more forward sound but always had listening fatigue. These are more neutral. But I needed to get 100+ hours of break-in since these woofers are tight. Also, I had the spikes set up without an isolator (herbies) and didn’t play with toe in. Once I did these, these slay everything in their price and annihilate speakers at 2x the price. Get them! A sealed speaker is inherently better than ported. But you have to use good subs. I use dual Rel t9is
Nice Vid. I've had the center channel 8600e Center since Oct 2020 and the 8600e LR since April. Once these are broken in and placed, these were seemless and sounded great. I have a 7.2.4 in a dedicated soundproofed theater room with all AT speakers except the subs. I have a few treatments but will need some more in the future. I still got lot to learn about home theater/sound systems.
Am looking to upgrading my center speaker, Am trying to decide between the Klipsch Rc-64 iii or The 8600eC, I was looking forward to hearing a demo of this center speaker but sadly know one has demoed it yet, But what's even more strange is there's not 1 review on this Center Speaker, It does look amazing but there's not enough information on it, And afraid to purchase because I spoke With Atlantic Technology, They said if I purchased and i decided to return, I would have to pay for shipping and on top of that I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee, So not sure if I want to take that gamble or not, What is your honest opinion on the center speaker?
@@monroethegreat7539 Physically it is a HUGE speaker. I rate it head and shoulders better than the Klipsch. Not really in the same league. I like it a lot if you have the space for it.
@@JilesMcCoy I'm also looking at tekton for this dedicated HT. So im torn tbh. I've also always wanted an Atlantic tech 450 thx system but never pulled trigger. Now that I'm closer to making this happen. I'm unsure . Any familiarity with tekton ?
I want to build my system around the strongest center channel, would the 8600 work with all the other models in the Atlantic Technology line? The 8200, 6200 and 4400? Or should I stick to the center in those models?
@Home Theater Fanatics it is a tough decision because I haven't heard either set I'll be upgrading from the emotiva t2 c2 and e2 have you heard the arendals also
Thanks for the video. Since you have put speaker measurements done at the listening point, can you put in some of the room acoustics like the RT, Waterfall? It would be nice to see the acoustics of the room in question and talk about its acoustic treatment. Written with Google translate Greetings

Great video as always Jiles! Man do I love the driver array on the towers, and the center channel. That center channel is awesome!
Thanks!
Excellent review! My previous home theater was Atlantic Technology in a 7.1 setup, loved them 👍🏽
That’s awesome!

If you are in CO we can figure out a way for you to hear them I’m sure.

just curious the size of your room ? im thinking about these speakers in a 23x14x12ft H room more likely 7.1 or 7.2 maybe adding atmos in ceiling

For sure.

@@JilesMcCoyso okay to get this bad boy center and match it with the 4400 L&R?
?
These or the Kef R11s ? For home theatre and 2 channel listening ?
Nice, the L and R can do 91db, and center 93 db.
Cool!

I like these A LOT.

You should try to find a set to listen to. Thats a lot of cash. Maybe try Axpona.

Thanks!
They definitely look nice! In my opinion they look more expensive than the price you mentioned.
They do look super nice!
you should add a 2nd subwoofer of the same brand (and model if possible) and you'll get a big improvement in smoothness, fullness, and less boomy.
I like 2 better than one also.
I'm a fan.

Sounds like a good video to do!
@@JilesMcCoy Will they make a video where they see the measurements of the room and thus see what they have with the acoustic treatment.
@@JuanJose-wt5yj I will see if I can figure out how to make that happen. It will be down the road a bit though.
The 5.1 should be 5x centre channels and not a Frankenstein arrangement... Never understand why everyone wonts to use different speakers everywhere...
Its almost always an issue of the room arrangement. And I would recommend to not use 5x center channels for sure. At least horizontally aligned ones.

@@Echo-jg8is No one will disagree that having identical speakers all around is best. It’s almost never possible in typical home theaters though.
Sound should never sound like it's coming from the speaker! Please don't praise a speaker for accomplishing the very basics.
Some speakers are better than others!
