  • This is by far one of the most valuable lessons for a happier life. After reading the story by Steven Covey I decided to produce this video to share the message with others. Get inspired with this short film of a professor explaining to his class the importance of using one's time wisely and setting priorities in order to have a fulfilling life.

In our daily life, we never notice the most important and that is our family. We should set our priorities, of what we wanna be in the future.

    Absolutely brilliant.
There are many versions of this lesson. This is one of my favourite.
Isn't it strange that we naturally fill our jar with sand. What is the sand.....
Today, I believe its mainly social media and mobile devices! Certainly is with me

I think the problem with that can be identifying what is sand or anything else in the jar. Perhaps something viewed as sand can become as big as a golf ball if neglected.

Just saw this for the first time today. It's a magnificent metaphor. It made me look at my life and decide to try and start a few changes. Are they going to stick? Well, I suppose I can't be sure, but I'll try! I made a list of my most urgent goals from 1-6. They are in order of importance. The idea is that I start with the golf balls and go down from there. I found this from my music/theater teacher. Today she talked to me at voice lessons about writing things down because I have a habit of not marking my music and told me she writes a to-do list. She writes it from most important to least. She asked me, "Have you heard of the golf sand and beer metaphor?" I had not. She briefly explained the idea to me and told me to watch it when I got home. And so I did.

This is truly a amazing & valuable lesson for all of us, I find this presentation inspiring for me, this is no "clickbait" by the title it is truly a valuable lesson for a happier life.
In my perspective you could add more liquids, for life, solids, for happiness, and, simply air for all the activities you could add , and you simply didn't, life isn't hard, it is just anything you want if you make it what it is and is supposed to be.
    Great work Meir Kay.
Keep on the good hard work on these fascinating and creative videos, hope you continue with more of this.

In my 40’s 2022, I definitely started out reverse with the sand and beers as a teen. No room for pebbles and golf balls. I only spent two weeks of high school supposedly 10th grade then skipped classes and eventually dropping out. It was when I was 20 I realized I needed to pebbles and golf balls, but had no room. I I removed the sand 99.9%. Added pebbles and golf balls to my jar. Got my high school equivalency in my 20’s, became a practical nurse, 16 years later got my degree and became a registered nurse. Life may start out rocky, but ultimately you are in charge of you. Fortunately for me I realize early in life what priorities is needed it just took years to repair but I think I got there. If I can, so can you. Never give up on your goals just revise it when needed.

I do feel that, ironically, life is more disconnected with the internet as we are all spending our lives consumed by it and not spending time with those we love. I think often to myself that i need to get away from YT (I at least am not interested in other social media platforms like instagram). Gone are the simpler days.
