- Wasting Steel and Catching Up In The Blacksmith Shop
The title says it all, nothing like forging a bunch of stuff and not being happy with it. Notice the lack of talking in this one?

You are getting a lot better at the metal working💚💜👷🏻♂️⚒👏
Thank you Don. I'm getting a ton of practice in.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just had to re-subscribe Jim, don’t know what YT were up to!! Had to do it for quite a lot more of my other channels that I watched. Glad to have you back friend. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Great video Jim! Those drawknives are looking good! No comment about the axe head! 😁 Was great seeing you again at MakerCamp! Keep forging!
That axe head is bad, reap bad.
Good luck with the Damascus
Thanks buddy. I can tell you it went quite well.
yes you did it! (smith side)
Jim, I'm getting 404 on the merchandise... oops!
Nice!
Well done Jim with the mass production on the forge Brother!
The AI has finally got You rollin' back my way!
Dan! I wondered where you've been.
Awesome video Jim. I'm just loving things starting to take shape !!! I'll be watching for your finished product and hopefully be able to make a purchase. Keep up the great work.
I feel like I'm finally getting there.
I cant wait..

enjoying watching you work with the forge, keep up the good work cheers.
Hello Peter. I'm having a blast, finally using this space for its intended purpose.
Mesmerazing. ¿how long it takes you to make an axe or a draw knive? I hope you have them sold quick!!
Drawknives are three or four hours. Axes I'm trying to dial in and get my process down.
Jim , I always watch and enjoy your videos, but don’t always comment. I hate being repetitive by just saying great job. Creating something out of nothing is an art and you sir are an artist. 👍👍👍
Thank you Guy. I'm learning, hopefully I can get good at it.
Something about heating that metal and hammering it into what you need or want, amazing. Thinking to myself, what’s he going to do with a solid steel brick, oh, axe head, amazing. The company that shipped your steel must go thru loads of copper staples. It’s a dying craft / art, thanks for keeping it alive sir. Be Safe out there, it’s getting froggy.
It is getting nuts. I'm still learning the basics of the smithing but I do enjoy it.
Great video Jim good to see steel taking shape and I’m guessing some layered steel is in your future take care 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Had my first go tonight. Not nearly as hard as I thought.
Thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed watching. Take care and God Bless.
Thank you
Good video
Thank you
I thought you were making socket chisels Jim 😂😂but it’s good practice anyways
I have to learn those next
I will enjoy watching your progress Jim it’s been awesome so far. I have watched from when you started with the barn enjoyed every bit of it too thank you for sharing
good to see you again Jim see you on next one
Hello Howard
Once again I had to search for your channel and see what ya been up to. Fun stuff man. I really enjoyed watching you form some steel.
I see you've been busy yourself. I like moving that metal.
You do have a life off of UA-cam
Good morning Jeff. You are right, it's all about balance.
I have a piece of 1 1/2" chrome moly, round that is almost stainless. It would be interesting to forge it but that's not for me. I bought a bunch of stainless that I plan on using for fantasy weapons.
That would be pretty cool. You're a man of many talents T.
Good to see you out in the shop again Jim. Glad you had a great time at the show, would like to see one myself one day. Have a great week, Dan..
You would have a ball with it.
Boy that lad of yours has grown up so much since I first saw him he is a big boy now
He's a moose. How's life treating you?
I certainly do enjoy seeing you put the equipment I watched you make, to work. You are no longer working in a rat's nest.
It took me long enough and it's much nicer now.

MUCH easier to be productive.
Your rating on the efficiency scale has gone WAY up. Besides, it is esthetically pleasing to the eye. You just need a chestnut tree.
