    Maggie is a rock star, but what's it like when your rock star is wet and it's time to get in the van...we lived in Wasilla in 1987 and visited Hatcher Pass many times...fun drive and gorgeous in the wintertime....safe travels!

    • @VANTREKKINGlifestyle
      @VANTREKKINGlifestyle  5 років тому

      Maggie does dry very quickly after getting wet but for those times when she’s not dry we try to wipe her down as much as possible and she has to stay in her bed. But it does make for a dirtier van. We would love to see Alaska in the wintertime, I bet it is beautiful. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Alaska looks so amazing! I had trouble closing my sliding door, too. Someone suggested using WD-40 Specialist dust and dirt resistant dry lube. It's $5.74 on Amazon. I used it and it works really well, my door closes much easier. Love the video. Safe travels.

    Alaska is definitely a trip of a lifetime, not sure if there is another place in North America that can compare. This one will be hard to beat for sure. I really hope I have the means and the energy to make this trip one day. Cheers!!!

    Lynn and Owen, thanks for another enjoyable adventure in Alaska! I was wondering if the Travato beds are still comfortable after all this time on the road ? It also seems as though you have had no problems boon docking in the purest sense, with the Travato K verses KL. I would appreciate your input, as purchasing a Travato K may be in my future! Thanks again for all the gifts you share!
    Julie

      Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. The beds are still comfortable but we do have toppers. We are going to recap our trip when we get caught up on all the footage. We will add some input on boondocking and how a KL would help with that. Thanks for the suggestion. To answer your question now, Owen thinks the KL would be very beneficial in boondocking. But what we have does work well.

    Sooki and I made it about 7 miles down the Gold Mint trail, We were completely soaked, the Glacier winds turned us back. By the time we got back, we were dry.
