Really is helpful getting proper recommendations…so many brands it feels like you would have to spend hours reading descriptions or testing each board to know who they are aiming at with each model.
I’ve been riding now for ever like over 20 years and i just recently found your brand on you tube. I’m very interested in getting on one of your boards for sure.
Hi Mats, been really excited about the Shorty. Only doubt: would it do well in relatively steep and deep backcountry powder of Descender or other do better?
Hi Peter, The Shorty really excels in steep and deep. I think it has the upper hand in deep powder compared to the Descender. Descender is more technical and has a bit more freestyle pedigree with its more twinnish shape.
That was a great walkthrough. I am 1.8m tall and weigh 85kgs and I like to carve and explore the powder. As I’m in my 50s and I’ve been riding for 30 years I avoid the park. The sole of my size 43 boots measure 300mm. I am worried that the Descender maybe too narrow, but it looks great and I wonder about the wide version, then there’s the Biru, but I don’t know if I need a 154 or 157, finally the Bowlrider looks like it could be a great board for me and isn’t as crazy wide as the Biru. Any thoughts on which board would be best for me would be much appreciated. Kind regards from the English Lake District, Marcus. PS. I love the ethos of the Stranda Brand and your personal passion. I also smiled when watching one of your reviews and I saw you have a motorhome, we go off to the Alps in ours for Snowboarding and it really adds to the experience.
159 and 165. Waist is 26 on both lengths. There is a wide 165 coming for next season. Until then checkout the Tree Surfer 162 wide. 27 waist. Basically same shape as Bowl. but with a fish tail.
Hi! Can you customization your board to the rider 's weight, stance, etc? The Cheater very impressive but i' m low about 167cm, and my weight about 78 kg. I have little boots MP: 25cm /25.5 cm. The most snowboard's mimimum and reference stance is too wide for me. My first preference is deep carving, on icy and man make snow, and litlle narrower short blue piste. I have some boards :Amplid Pentaquark 158, Korua Dart 156, Apex SBX 160 (BC board with 14m SC radius). But this boards aren't specific for me.
After over 30 years of snowboarding I finally found the Cheater (wide)! Thanks Mats. LIFE IS GOOD! :)
Thank you Vesku!

Sorry for late answer. You will be more than ok with the 162 wide Descender.
which one has better pop for side hits ?
Hej Mats, tack för en jättebra förklaring, kan du snälla berätta var tillverkas Stranda Brädorna?
Vi pressar våra brädor på GP87.
@StrandaSnowboards thanks, I just got my first Stranda, the Descender, and I can see it has very high manufacturing quality.
What size is the Bowrider and what is the waist width because i wear a 29.5 to 30 boot?

How the Biru fall in here? I’m looking for an high speed capable board on standard compacted groomers, and I’m not sure between Cheater and Biru
The Cheater is more a turn board. If you wanna go more down the fall line take a look at Descender. The Biru will also be up for the game.
