When the night came, I couldn't sleep, terrified that the ghosts would come for me... finally, after a really horrible night, 6.00AM or something, I turned on the radio, and this incredible song came from the speakers.... and I could relax and sleep... never forget that to this day
This wonderful song always makes me think about my sister-in law's husband, Andy. He was a great guy who with his wife, was supposed to be spending time with us on a warm beach or sitting next to a pool sipping beers or margaritas in our "after kids" years... Andy passed away at the way-too-young age of 45. It's been over eleven years now. Godspeed, A. J.
This music and the video brings back memories of my Grandfather. He used to work for the Railroad as a fireman before they came out with the diesel electrics. He shared the stories of what he did and the countryside that he traveled through. I also remember the time when my Dad headed out from Seattle and went to the Yakima Valley on the train and he waved to us as we were standing on the platform. I was just a kid at the time back in the 60's. Everytime I go to the Sacramento train Museum these memories come back along with this music.
Imagine: You saw 5 people roaming around and they have a dog, 1 month later you see only 3 people left, and the dog is gone, after that the two of them seperate from the other, 12 years later, you see only a turtle with a man that looks familiar from the one you saw in the metro.
This was the song my husband and granddaughter played together. It was their song. We played it at his funeral to send him off on "the Last Train Home".
This makes me remember About my Friend Who just go to egypt He says they fought really hard until His 2 Friend Died hes really sad But i wonder where he is right now Btw am i crazy or the turtle just talk to me???
This music reminds me when a hotheaded teenager, his friend who loves cherries, his grandfather, his grandfather's Egyptian friend,a Frenchman and a dog travelled Egypt to defeat his great great step grandfather.
I remember my father playing this song for me and my sister in the car when he took us places, so hearing this song come back again in my life through JoJo made me tear up. I’m glad more people can be introduced to this music.
I know some people think of death and a send off with this song (a beautiful interpretation), but personally, I think of me sitting on the last Metro-North train to New Haven, at 3am, staring out the window watching the world go by as the Last Train Home sweeps me to sleep
Went down to the comments expecting to see Pat Metheny's fans commenting, and I completely forgot that Killer Queen has already touched this comment section... Rip best Jobros.. But most importantly, RIP Lyle Mays.. You will be missed
I remember one time i played this when it was sunset overcast and the clouds were all blue... i felt so emotional... Update: right after i made this comment, i started tearing up... this song just makes me feel so blue inside.
David Proud:: I had a great soulmate relationship going when this came out, we went to see Metheny band in concert in St Pete Florida when this came out. i was 27 and the world was all good... Now? well it's OK.. 80's was a crazy decade for sure.
It was a wild and fun journey, Joseph Joestar. Thanks for lending us your legendary voice for the character, Unshou Ishizuka. I'll always tribute this song for you.
Each time I listen to this song I feel like I am saying goodbye to a part of my past that I miss. It has such a strong melancholic vibe to it. Also the second best Jojo ending credits song only beaten by roundabout.
One my all time favorite songs. I’ve loved this song for over 30 years. It reminds me life is a journey and to enjoy the ride, including the bumps along the way. The bumps are lessons which move us all forward. I hope I have many more decades ahead.
the first time I heard this at the end I was like "this is gay, walk like an egyptian was better," but now I really like this song. I always get a feeling so complicated when they show the group photo at the very end. Thank you, Avdol Iggy and Kakyoin
For me I was spoiled hearing that, at the very least, Kakyoin was going to die at the end of SDC and thought I was just hearing things. I heard this song as the ending and realized "Oh shit it's all true isn't it?"
This reminds me of summer nights in the backyard as a kid playing with my Dad and brother with this playing in the background (as well as all of his other albums). Pat Metheny was my dad's favorite artist and would listen to him religiously. This was the song he chose for us all to listen to at his funural while we said our goodbyes to him. I lost touch with his music for a long long time, i guess i wasnt ready to go there emotionally. when I decided to go through his CD collection THIS was the first song i chose to listen to because the name seemed so familiar. Immediately as soon as it started playing it felt like i was there with him, i sat with it on repeat for atleast an hour crying/sobbing. even to this day over another decade later it will bring me to tears. Love you Dad and Pat for creating something so beautiful 🥲🥰

You saw 5 people roaming around and they have a dog, 1 month later you see only 3 people left, and the dog is gone, after that the two of them seperate from the other, 12 years later, you see only a turtle with a man that looks familiar from the one you saw in the metro.
This was the song my husband and granddaughter played together. It was their song. We played it at his funeral to send him off on "the Last Train Home".
😭

For some reason I felt depressed after hearing it at the end credits of JoJo. Beautiful musical composition.

Memories of a dog named Iggy🐶
I know some people think of death and a send off with this song (a beautiful interpretation), but personally, I think of me sitting on the last Metro-North train to New Haven, at 3am, staring out the window watching the world go by as the Last Train Home sweeps me to sleep

25年前の読売ジャズフェスで、夕焼けの風が気持ちいい中で聞いたのを思い出します。今聴いてもため息が出るほどの名曲!

Have always loved this song. Still bring a tear to my eye when I hear it.
this song does bring tears to the eye, its so touching and beautiful
David Proud:: I had a great soulmate relationship going when this came out, we went to see Metheny band in concert in St Pete Florida when this came out.
i was 27 and the world was all good... Now? well it's OK..
80's was a crazy decade for sure.
these past 50 days really were fun.
It was a wild and fun journey, Joseph Joestar.
Thanks for lending us your legendary voice for the character, Unshou Ishizuka. I'll always tribute this song for you.
I bought this album 30 seconds after it came out. The entire album is stunningly beautiful . Play this at my funeral.
コレは良い! ずっと色褪せない名曲だと思う。

My ex drummer boyfriend, turned me on to Pat ,30 years ago.I will always thank him for that!❤
This song makes me WRYYYYly sad. I just can't STANDO it.
I saw Pat Metheny in concert. He is the greatest guitar player that ever lived.
I heard this song as the ending and realized "Oh shit it's all true isn't it?"
perfect fit for the ending theme for JoJo`s.
Anyone who disagrees does not understand the underlying meaning behind the song.
I don't understand how there are almost 2 million views, but only 19 thousand bothered to like this. Is it so hard to click the thumbs up? It's not like you are comitted to anything. It's a great song and video, go ahead and click the like button.
R.I.P. Kakyoin,Avdol and Iggy
