Darien used to have another Hurricane until 2010, when it's blower literally exploded. There are some early 2000 recordings of it, alongside an audio recording. They seemed to suffer from rotator failures as well, as shown by the few videos of the Garland Hurricane (though I think the person who filmed the La Crescente Hurricanes said they were deliberately welded in place, but I can't exactly remember.)

I would say the average lifespan of an ACA hurricane would be around 10-15 years.

Yeah it is true. Not to mention even the Thunderbolt is better as some of those can work very well without maintenance for a while. The one that used to be atop Fratt elementary school in Racine, WI is a good example. They stopped maintaining it since ECS took over and it went off reliably every time without ANY signs of mechanical issues. It was also very loud, providing good coverage. Thunderbolt blowers also don’t break down as much as they have a much more simple design

they were also designed by a company that specialises in making blowers. ACA just made their blowers themselves

The last active hurricane is Milwaukee but thankfully they're keeping it

ACA Hurricanes are very complicated and thus expensive. And with more parts in a siren, there is a higer chance something will break.

at 0:40 that is not a blower glitch it is a chopper that is brooken

Yeah, I don't get why people call it a "blower glitch" while it is clearly the chopper that activates late.

Pretty much every failure in hurricanes is due to lack of maintenance in the blower. If properly maintained and oiled, a hurricane will last just as long as a thunderbolt. The Dairen hurricane glitch was caused by the chopper contractor not pulling in, possibly because it got stuck. that’s entirely a controls issue, nothing mechanically went wrong. However the blower on the Dairen hurricane I believe was still failing.
