Literally every game since this game has been just a version of GTA 3. Especially Cyberpunk and Watchdogs, and Sleeping dogs, All the Arkham games, as well as all the Spiderman games.. Pretty crazy
You have no idea seeing this game for the first time in 3D as a 13 year old kid, not to mention previously playing the first 2 games. It literally was like opening up a whole new world, I can't express enough how amazing and mind blowing this was at the time. Ashamed but not ashamed to say probably put 5000+ hours into GTA 3 easily. Makes me sad this was over 23 years ago, how time flies.
I was like 22 when I started playing 5. IDK if I got it right when it came out or not. I think I got it for Xmas that year. I was driving a mini garbage truck. A Heno and a f250 with a parkan and a tipper. I would get off early because I worked for a private company that gave me salary for a small "miss" route. Basically the houses that got missed. The thing was I didn't have to pick up all of them and for the amount of money they were spending it was more economics for me to only make a few trips to 3 different dumps. Id work like 25 hours some weeks lmao. Salary was 500 and id take home like 460 a week after taxes. I remember drinking a 6 pack of tall boys when I'd get off. I'd play GTA in the basement theater room that me and my family finished in high school. IDK how many times I had to fucking restart missions because of my Internet connection and it not saving properly. Then like a straight 10 years of getting high with my friends and fucking shit up at their place, just roaming and trying to last with 5 stars. I would get unlimited weapons and take a dirt bike, jump onto the train and have 5 starts for like 30 min. Vice City I played a little of at my neighbor's house in 8th grade. Then 4 I played thru in highschool.
I was guilty of hating this game a bit myself, but that’s because I had definitive edition not the original now on the PS2 on the ps2 the graphics of the PS2 copy, make me love it all the more
sadly I feel the same way, this was such a great game but I just replayed a few hours and it's painful. Even the slight nostalgia can't justify continuing with it. I know the map from memory yet I've only just realised how fucking horrid the road layouts are, every mission involves so much twisting and turning these tiny streets, which simply isn't any fun to play, especially when you're in a dogshit car that slides around like it's made of ice.

The game looks way to cartoonish on the ''definitive'' edition. Roads look to clean. GTA 3 should be dark, gritty and gloomy.
i can play this at mcgarry irish pub in 2024 all day
Play with a PS2 emulator or play with a PS2 controller?
Played on a ps2… kind of obvious
I’ve seen 6 videos and you all turn off the radio. Don’t you know that music is part of the nostalgia too ?
Copyright
@@ethanrobert342 there's not much copyrighted music in GTA 3 other than classical songs
@@bigsof7381 it's still real music that'd copyrighted
They're scared of copyright. But gta3 doesn't have real music. It's all fake
@@juniorsilvabroadcast n fake music in the game, lots of official music in the game and a lot from the Scarface movie soundtrack
God this brings back some memories
27:55 is that the same voice actor as CJ in San Andreas?
@@bondmode no
A great legendary game that sadly aged very badly...
I could probably come back here and still enjoy the game in 20-plus years.
