You have to take into the account the 24v piston has bigger piston bowls and is centered into the cylinder though. Plus 191 DV's, .093" lines and tubes all lower timing. On a 24v with a P-pump and SO pistons you can get up to about 26* before you are even close to coming out of the bowl. I run a 4k GSK and no plate with AFC FF. It is a descent setup but it is getting a 913pump, bigger injectors and more turbo soon.
Yeah I remember watching yours and thinking how nice it would be. I wish I would have had more help I pretty much did everything but start the truck for that vid all by myself. I definetley think I could do another in a weekend with all the parts though.
Sorry fellas I lost my youtube password and couldn't log on for a bit. I had well under $3k in my P-pump swap. I just did alot of shopping around and deal finding.
Nope timing is exactly the same mine is at 24*. A 24 head can be made to work on a 12v but you would have to change pistons. On a 12v head the injectors come in at an angle from the side but on a 24v head they are cantered directley over the piston so the pistons have a completley different bowl design.
Lookin good Pete. Glad it's up and running.

Thanks Ryan, hopefully it is getting a built 913 pump soon.

Can you use the stock 24v cam?
sounds good, see its not that hard. once you get it tuned to run/drive well you will wonder why you waited so long
