I could watch skoolie walkthroughs all day! I don't need a long winded explanation of every little thing in the bus. Those are awesome too, don't get me wrong. But, sometimes you just wanna see a bunch of cool layouts!
Great tour. Thanks for not opening every drawer and cupboard. Some of us really don't care about that. Seeing the layout and how it works for the family is good enough for me.
I love Charlie and Nicole's bathroom and kitchen configuration because it allowed a bigger space. Thank you for all who allowed the video tours. Cut down on some videos to watch lol. Wonderfully done guys.
I’m so glad the family with 4 children have their bunks by the old emergency door. I would have two more exits to but that’s just me. I love those small fireplaces. I’m sure they are mounted in a way to keep them part of the frame in case of an emergency. I’ve seen some awful stuff involving fire. But -- I think these RVs are incredible. They are works of art.
Hey, that was so much fun. I much enjoyed seeing all those skoolies. They all were so beautiful and functional in their own unique ways ❤Happy Traveling.
I've been planning to live in an RV/Skoolie/StepVan, etc. since I was a kid. Thanks for the walk-through. I keep getting more and more ideas about how I want my whatever-I-get to look and feel like, so I appreciate every video I watch. Thanks again!
I’m just starting to dive into UA-cam of van life and schoolies. I had no idea there were families with more than one kid living in them. That’s so neat to me! The amount of life and adventures those kids are going to experience 🥺 so cool.
Thank you for sharing the tours of the Skoolies! I am planning to buy one within the next year, fingers crossed. I hope to retire to some family property in KY asap and live in it or something similar. Hopefully, a skoolie. It seems to be the best route to go for me since it is mobile, but I am concerned about a few things, like maintenance or break downs since I am a single female, but I know I can do this somehow. :D Lovely to know there is a gathering place/time for Skoolies! I bought a generator today and for me it signifies I am starting my dream because I will need it to get started on the property. I got a great deal on it and can't wait to put it to use. I plan to start saving for the bus within the next month and hopefully have enough to buy one over the next year or at most 2. Thanks for the inspiration!
This was an absolutely wonderful video! We enjoyed seeing the schoolies but the way you presented the information was concise and organized! Thank you for sharing! 🤙
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys this is so awesome and I love everyone's ideas. Y'all should check out leave her wild, she is in the process of a bus conversion. I also love how this life style has like its own little community. And support each other.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys Does that mean that you can’t drive in those states with color restrictions if your bus is the same Orange it was as when it was a school bus?
I would consider a bus conversion but I’ve been told it is a real challenge to find a mechanic to work on it if you break down whereas a shuttle bus you can find a mechanic anywhere. I’m curious to the experiences of others in this regard.
I would think that’s a very specific scenario depending g on the bus vs. shuttle. For example, there are diesel mechanics all over the place, but some buses have a unique motor (Mercedes, Caterpillar, etc) and require a specific mechanic. Ours is a Cummins which is a popular dodge pickup truck engine. Lots of mechanics can work on it.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys I should be more specific. I've been debating between a Ford E350 or E450 vs a BlueBird bus if I ever went with a bus. I will only get gasoline for several reasons that work best for us.
Hurricane, Utah is pronounced Hur-a-cun!! You always know when it isn't a local because they pronounce it like the "weather"!! This is just for an FYI!!
What’s really sad is that I believe all cities will make these illegal one day when this becomes not a life choice but a trend and more cities will add ridiculous laws about build quality hazards or some BS Tax because we don’t want to pay a useless 30yr mortgage or throw hard earned money away in rent
I love it but negligent people are starting to ruin this lifestyle. Campsites are now banning buses, Insurance companies are giving us a hard time. Please do your research if you go to this lifestyle .
Yeah, shame on places that blame it on bus life. We’ve seen people towing a mattress behind their car onto BLM land to dump. The big trash like that is almost never from travelers. If we all just take better care of public spaces, they’ll be around for all of us for much, much longer! 💪🏼
I loved this!! I didn't catch the name of the last bus, but really want to check them out on Instagram. Or UA-cam if you convinced them to come over. I'm actively looking for a bus. My husband isn't interested, but my beastie and youngest (25 ur old) daughter and oldest (17 yr old) granddaughter are, so can you say Girls Bugout?! We're SO EXCITED!! This is only my bazillion bus tour watched on UA-cam, but until she (our bus) gets here there's not much more I can do!! Seriously addicted to skoolie life already!! 🚌 🚏 🚍 🚎 🚐 ❤️ 😍

Wow some of those really make me want to drastically change my floor plan ideas with the side by side master bed and bathroom idea!
That’s the best part of seeing other rigs!

Absolutely! Thank you so much for watching!!
That dog lying down in the doghouse is too adorable for words.
So true
Awesome clips pf stellar skoolies! Mentally grabbed several ideas for when I start my build. I'm still in the "floorplanning" stage. 😆
Thanks y'all!
Yay another Skoolie builder! Good luck planning! ❤️
Happy I watch this. Great ideas. I am so looking forward to meeting all of you on the road when we get there.
Can’t wait!!
Those homes where and are absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️
Thank you for such a nice comment. They are beautiful. Each of them were built DIY too! 🤯

We think the exact same thing. Those families get to experience it ALL together. Love it!

I was there! Vanfest was awesome 😊
Awesome!! Thanks for watching!
We love it guys!!!! Such good walk throughs. All the best new friends!
Love you guys and miss you already!
I am Justin, I am married with 5 kids traveling in a 35ft skoolie. Amazing video
Thanks for watching. That’s so cool!!! Good for you guys. Maybe we’ll see you on the road! 💪🏼
Awesome vid, cannot wait to get my bus and get started.
You can do it!!
Me encanto muy bien distribuido y ordenado muy limpio
Gracias. ¡Todas estos autobuses son hermosos!
Some of those were REALLY nice. Why though, has no one tinted all the windows in their units?? The radiant heat soak is ridiculous.
I can't speak for all the buses, but many (like ours) already have tint.
My understanding is that it is illegal to keep a skooley with the original "schoolbus yellow" 🎨 paint???
Not necessarily. Depends on your state.
We loved meeting you guys!!
Same guys! Loved the artwork on the side of your bus!
Loved the tours
Thank you so much!
Beautiful video! Thank you!
Thanks so much!! ❤️
Nice. Good video.
Thank you!
My daughter has a c double slide 2019 but I would just love to have a schooly I would truly love to have one.
Do it! 😎
I looked all over for schoolypalosa, Can somebody give me directions how to get there.
It was only from Jan 21-31. Best advice would be to keep an eye on Skooliepalooza.com or the event Facebook page for future events.
just goes to show what you can do with an unlimited budget. these are great homes
Thank you! Most of these cost between $15-30k, so about the cost of the cheapest new car. Thanks for watching!
What get's me is how they are so good at designing. Must of been an evolution of feeding off other designs and idea's
Is it legal for a skoolie to retain its school bus yellow color?
It depends on the state where it is registered. For Texas, yellow is okay. In many states, it is not okay.
Love the video
Thanks, Yasmin! ❤️
Any info on this event?
Haven’t heard for 2022. We’re keeping our eyes out though!
How do you find the information for this meet up for 2023?
Sorry so late - Facebook is usually the best way
Sweet!!!
Yeah, gotta show off some other rigs occasionally!!
I understand that one has to paint the school bus another color so it won’t be mistaken as a school bus.
Depends where you live. That’s not a requirement in some states.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys Does that mean that you can’t drive in those states with color restrictions if your bus is the same Orange it was as when it was a school bus?
No, it’s a registration issue in the state in which the bus is registered.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys I see! Thank you for explaining.

Fair enough. We wanted the longer lifespan of a diesel but hey, that’s why there are so many types of engines! To each their own!
Doesn’t look like anyone hurting for cash🤗
Most school buses sell at auction for less than $6,000.
👍
👏🏼
Man, I'm glad I hate traveling!
Oh no, why??

Yeah, we notice that!! So funny how different places have towns pronounced so differently! Thanks for watching!
