What's the width of the steel strapping inside the belt for a 1.5" belt? EDIT: judging from the image at 05:33, if those are 1" squares, looks like 5/8", 3/4" ?

Agree 100%. If your belt is crap... nothing else will work right.

I added a bucksaw blade to the back of my belt on the inside. It sure got stiffer
