Thank you very much. I can’t eat fast, so it’s much easier to keep clean. Plus, I don’t like to dunk all my foods in water. I’m not a fan of soggy foods (except cookies in milk). 😁
Thanks, Wayne! I had a great time getting to meet and talk with you for a while too. I too hope our paths cross again sometime. A slower pace would be good. I definitely enjoy challenges more than contests. 👍
Thanks Derek. As you know, I didn’t go with any delusions of winning. I went to meet some great people and have fun. I also experienced a first… first time I dunked anything in a contest. The Oreos in milk were awesome! 😂
This was a great! A big congrats all five of y’all! Of course Dan, Wayne, and Scott, you guys are insane! Chris, you still did what millions can’t do and finish in thirteen min, which is so awesome! Like the moutheats said, you’re definitely no amateur, man! You’re a beast and I’m so happy you got to compete, meet new friends, having so much fun! Always love your content! Looking forward always to what’s next! Congrats again!
Definitely a lot of fun Mack! Much more on an amateur and speed eating than food challenges. Finishing it is one thing, which is more of the challenge aspect. I may be able to count all my contests on 1 hand. I just don’t compete and don’t do speed eating. Which has been my choice; for the most part I’m not interested in it. Every now and then, there’s a contest with a lot of great people that makes it fun to go and be a part of. My goal is typically, not to be the bottom and have fun. 😁 Knowing who was going to be here, I just didn’t want to pass it up. Thanks! I always appreciate hearing from you. I hope one day, our paths cross and we meet in person.
The crazy thing is, Scott did awesome. He beat his qualifying time by about 1:30 min. I’m still blown away with just how fast Dan is. It’s just incredible.
That was a great contest, the food looked amazing. I hope one day to reach your capacity and cleanliness with Dan's speed. I'm glad you had a good time!
Congrats to Fat Shack for drawing so many pro eaters! Food must be pretty good 😁. Love the variety here! Mac and cheese bites, deep fried Oreos, sandwich, burger… Not exactly healthy, but we’d be here forever if they made you eat 5000kcal of celery. Nice camera work btw. You got some good angles on the challenge. Really drove home what absolute machines some of these pros are. Dan is incredible! But we knew that already 😅. Wayne put in a solid performance as well, but I know he’s done contests before. And Scott has amazing stamina. Compared to most people though, you were definitely above average. Even going at a restaurant challenge rather than a contest pace you would still be 4-5x faster than the average person. Not big on contests myself, but what you lose on time spent enjoying the food you gain in time spent chatting to the other eaters. Hope you all had a good catch up. 😁 Great job giving it your all, and congratulations on completing! 🎉
The food is good, just not good for you. Everything is fried and the only veggies there are the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions on the burger. I suppose the fried jalapeño for the popper in the sandwich counts too. The sandwich alone is only 9” and is 2260!calories. But hey… who doesn’t like fried foods. They taste great!👍 I couldn’t imagine trying to eat 5000 calories of celery. I love celery, but I’d be eating it for 2 days to eat that many calories. Given how low the calories are, I think flavor fatigue may set in before getting to 250 calories. 😂😂😂 💯 agree, those guys are incredible. And I do agree, I’m certainly better than most people, I’m just not at a pro level and never will be. The average person couldn’t finish that much food at all, and certainly not in 15 minutes. I’m good with that too. I’m not interested in the training rigor to stretch my stomach and all the work trying to get faster. I consider myself a UA-cam eater. I enjoy what I do, I’m happy with how much I can eat (more than most people), and have had a blast interacting with everyone on UA-cam and other platforms. I have no aspirations of becoming a professional competitive eater. I came to this event to meet some great people and have fun. And… my goal was not to be last, which I achieved. I also have family here that we got to visit and spend the day with, which was a lot of fun too. I did get to talk with them for awhile, and even met up with Dan and Scott the night before and hung out for awhile. Great guys. Thanks for everything Sam! ❤️
Thanks Leah! ❤️ It’s definitely a lot for me for 15 minutes. We had a lot of fun getting to talk and hang out for a little bit before and after as well.
Rookie, Veteran, Pro, and then whatever level DK is, it's own level. haha And Scott was eating at the same speed as you like 2-3 years ago :P I imagine if you were willing to pour a few cups of water on your lap, you could have gotten that in under 8 minutes. 😅 I did not realize how close the finish was between Scott and Wayne!
I too was surprised how close the race was. Really, all three of them finished faster than I expected. As for me, I understand capacity is one of the most important thing in these contests. Speed comes over time with practice. I am just not very interested in speed eating and the train rigor to expand my capacity.. Occasionally I will do a contest because the event sounds fun and there are amazing people there. I just try to do my personal best, and my goals are not to be at the bottom and to have fun. I prefer the food challenges and making fun videos. Thanks.
Don’t sell yourself short, you’re no amateur! It looked like a fun event- hope you had a good time while in Colorado. Bringing your own milk was a good call too
Thanks Sean! Food challenges I’ve done a number of, but contests I think I can count on 1 hand. I am definitely an amateur when it comes to competing. Trying to eat fast is just not something I rarely ever do. The milk… I thought that would be great with the Oreos, and just something fun. That fried Oreos in the milk turned out to be probably the best thing I ate too. They were delicious.😋
I don't know how you can say you're out of your league baby and speed when it comes to Dan and Scott but capacity you're right up there with everyone else don't sell yourself short
Really, their capacity is 2-3 times what mine is. And they have practiced eating fast for years, especially Dan and Wayne. The amount of food and speed at which they can eat is mind blowing. Being out of my league is not a bad thing. They train to eat more and faster, and I don’t. I am happy with the amount I can eat and the challenges I do. I will never be able to compete with them, and that’s by choice. I’m not interested in the rigor it takes to stretch my stomach and be able to compete at this level. My hats off to them, they are all incredible.
Thanks Matthew! Fun contest and I managed not to be last. That was a win for me! 😁 I’m doing great. Working hard and always finding good things to eat. How about you? How’s everything going?
Holy cow there's a lot of my favorite people here Chris my best friend Scott Dan Kelly Kennedy you in the other guy is really don't know yet but it's amazing
Thanks Brandy! The event was so much fun. I was really happy to be able to get to compete with them. I may have been way out of my league, but they are all great guys.
I got to share with you my opinion on something and it might be a little controversial but I feel like the guy all the way to the right is cheating probably not but splashing water all over the food and not eating it like that it's just to me it seems like a little bit of cheating but probably not put it bothers me
I can appreciate that. Especially from me, the guy that doesn’t like soggy breads. In the end though, both Dan and Wayne had trays full of water and soggy food. They both had to scoop and scrape the last bits up and drink the water. I assume that’s just part of the contests. Really, the only real contests I have done have been sausage, where no one dunks, wondering this is a first for me. I think it’s common though for this type of food.
I think you did awesome! And you kept it so clean. Great job Chris!!🤗
Thank you very much. I can’t eat fast, so it’s much easier to keep clean. Plus, I don’t like to dunk all my foods in water. I’m not a fan of soggy foods (except cookies in milk). 😁
Was a pleasure meeting you bud! Hope we can share a table again sometime at a much slower pace lol 😅
Thanks, Wayne! I had a great time getting to meet and talk with you for a while too. I too hope our paths cross again sometime. A slower pace would be good. I definitely enjoy challenges more than contests. 👍
nice work!
Thanks Derek. As you know, I didn’t go with any delusions of winning. I went to meet some great people and have fun. I also experienced a first… first time I dunked anything in a contest. The Oreos in milk were awesome! 😂
Against pros you did very well Chris all positives mate.
I appreciate that! My goal was not to be last, and I achieved my goal at the contest! 😁

I was shocked to see Scott fall so far behind. I'll still could never be able to do any of that. Great video👍

@@OldGuyEats Yes Dan was wild, crazy thing is I had never heard of him until now 😵💫
@@TheTinfoilmanlive Dan can compete with the best in the world!

Thanks buddy. Sounds like a good goal!
After watching the contest, I think I need to enlarge my splash zone! Chris, thank you for posting. 🙂
😂😂😂 Thanks my friend!
You did great!
