- During the summer of this year, just about a year after buying the car I decided to go for a single turbo setup. The work was done by MGT in the UK and honestly I don't think I'll go back to twins...

You should really look into getting a Torqamp. They've started their Kickstarter a month ago, and I've seen what it does - it's fucking insane. It's a sort of Turbo, but powered by a small electric motor. They've boosted Supra's giving it than 91% more torque, an old 911 giving it more than 50% more torque on the low end. This is because it doesn't need the exhaust fumes to power the Turbo "fan". Look em up (UA-cam, Google, whatever), they have dyno runs on their media. It'll fit perfectly for what you want.

Indeed it's pretty standard. It's just that there hasn't been any mods that change the car and awful lot visually. Even though its a rare car. An awful lot have been modified. Some are clean but a lot of them are pretty eh. I mean if you're gonna get a kit just get the OEM Z-Tune kit, it's probably one of the only good looking kits out there. Well there are a ton of aftermarket Z-Tune kits but some look so damn cheap.
Traigh Basson standards cars are better if you want to start a project because you don’t want to deal with someone else’s mods

For the amount of money spent, he should’ve done that since the beginning (and keep in mind the t04z and t51r turbos are both discontinued.... although on the 6266 you can do a t51 mod for the flutter)

Ky 4785 not odd at all. there’s a lot of twin turbo cars that get single turbo swaps, skylines, supras, bmw’s, etc. Most stock twin turbos, especially in 90s cars can only to about 400-500 hp. However with modern turbo technology you can have more power with almost the same spool time with a single turbo.

Easiest way to minimise lag and increase the strength of your motor is to get an RB30 bottom end. Will be a 3.0L so instantly will have more torque.
Look at Aussie builds if you're after big, reliable power cause it's basically the HQ for big power GTRs

This makes me miss my 300+ hp 1998 V70 T5, full boost at around 3k rpm, funniest thing to do was creep on third until you felt the boost coming and just floor it.

Good set up you've got there. I ran the 6266 .84 with a AEM V2. It only put down 626whp so after a week I sold the set up and went to a S369 1.00 and Link G4 now the car puts down 702whp
What ever you do with that engine further, go to Motive DVD, they did awesome comparison of RB blocks, and tuning stages, bracing block to hold power safely ETC ETC... There you can learn a loot about RB platform in general.

Unless you're racing, low end power isn't important. Turbo lag is fun. Just getting violated by your car when the boost hits is amazing.

9:22 Could have already done it already and it could just be a tune thing, but it sounds like you could do with a trigger kit, sounds like it's running rough on the revs, usually recommended when you get to around over 500hp or so, the stock sensor has troubles, the signal usually walks a bit which can make weird things happen with timing and such, usually the most notable when revving the car, trigger kit will have a more solid timing signal

If you're gonna do 650+hp *STRONGLY* recommend the engine brace especially if you're keeping the 26 block. The block can handle more power I know but better safe than sorry
