It's so satisfying to see this stuff. I live in Florida, and corrosion of most metal parts in this heat and humidity is common. I just can't justify spending $$$$ bucks on a laser to do this. Hopefully someday they will be cheaper.
look at a CW laser, only $$, they are not to be pointed at stainless steel, precision parts, copper or brass, they will work on run of the mill steel and iron though
@lenikt3560 if you're referring to CW lasers, they can. Though unlike pulsed lasers they produce a big flame when removing paint. Another important thing is that no laser is designed to remove heavy rust. They're tools for surface rust, $10,000-$30,000 for a 2000W model
Thanks for your patience Scott, rates depend on your equipment and what your local customers will accept, we charge ourselves out at a premium rate and mostly per hour
@CocoLemon our 12 hour day rate is the cost of the laser/ vehicle/ generators + one operator. Sure when you're charging full days it's Fantastic money, the challenge is obviously finding the work and depends where you are in the world and what applications are around you
@@projectlaser Speaking of Narran, is there any particular reason you chose 4Jet over Narran Laser? What are the comparative advantages and disadvantages of the two products?
Rarely, in our opinion, do pulsed laser compare with blasting, it's non abrasive and generally can't profile the substrate at all or too an adequate level. More a comparison to chemical stripping, manual cleaning, or dry ice/ soft blasting like soda
That's pretty impressive. When I'll grow up I'll buy one of European quality laser machine, but for the moment I'll keep working with my 1500wats Chinese laser machine. Good luck my friend.
CW lasers didn't exist when we stated, much like pusled lasers, CW Lasers have unique benefits and applications. Good luck chasing your dreams, and feel free to reach out through other social media channels if you want a chat
A CW laser is the same type of lasers that's used to cut through metal, they simply use a galvanometer to rapidly move the laser beam around, some CW lasers can be purchased with 3 tips, laser cutting, welding and cleaning. A pulsed laser and specifically our Top hat laser source is designed to not profile, scratch or damage the surface it is cleaning.
So pulse laser, I’m thinking about using this in deep cleaning sanitation of kitchens and bathrooms. Would you recommend the pulse laser or a different one and why?
8 months later we got there, this is with the 500W 4Jet laser cleaning machine, cost for a full setup is several hundred thousand aussie dollars, we now have 4 lasers so that value has gone up
Hi boss, we can provide all kinds of laser cleaning equipment and accessories, such as laser cleaning machine, multi-functional laser head, vibrating lens, protective lens.
This looks awesome, but all this stuff seems to be outdoors . isn't it just going to immediately flash rust again? or did you wipe the stuff down with oil after? also, i hope those markings and labels were not important part numbers ,etc. lol
The client sprayed all the items with an anti corrosion coating once we finished the job, We were also told that we didnt have to worry about any labels!
Feel good to see your job, i'm planning to open a laser clean service at my city, start with a 2kW CW laser, should I go with CW type first or should take a less power pulse type
Depends on what you want to do! you couldn't clean what I cleaned in this video with a CW laser, but you could remove corrosion from steel, carry out non-destructive testing surface prep and a bunch of other activities where the client wont mind a scratches surface
It depends on your application and budget. The CW is cheaper, can work faster but can damage the surface even it's tiny. Pulsed type has 2 kinds, Gaussin and Top-hat. Both are higher price but you can challenge more precision work
Sorry to hear, our 200W laser was also broken the day we got it, to make it worse, it was from Wuhan and someone supposedly ate a bat at the same time. meaning we couldnt get spares for a looong time
Geez i wish i had this 20 years ago , it would have saved a huge amount of time and effort .
I'd like a much longer video, with no jump cuts, and the use of a tripod, like it seems you used. This is good stuff.
Hi. Can you tell me where you got the screens? Very handy workspace protection.
Sheer speed, uk company, not cheap if you have to pay there international freight fees
Thanks Ben@@bnblasercleaning much apriciated
you guys are professional. what is the power of the laser?
What’s the brand of that protective wall thing you use? I NEEEED ONE.
It's made by Sheerspeed in the UK

Loner video with more dialogue!
What would you say the start up cost is all in???? Do you charge by the hour or quote?? And what would be a good fair rate???

what a price for 13 hours of your INCREDIBLE job! ?
what is the tipe of the folding wall?
Its a screen by sheerspeed in the UK
Will these lazers remove metal scale?
So how would you handle a customer who has a thick rust product. Is it a matter of wattage?
Hi! I am wondering Where did you get your laser curtain... I am fixing my VW Vanagon (which is mainly rust) and don't want to ruin neighbors stuff!!
Question, what’s your formula for your work and how do you measure.
Hello, I soon want start this job, but I dont have really clue how to price this. Can you help me please? Thank you
You’re using two generators to power that??
How much do you charge for this kind or cleaning?
over a 12 hours day our day rate is around 1% of our asset cost

Tesla Cybertruck 10kw output would probably be able to power a 1.5kw fiber laser cleaner
What’s the best sized pulsed laser to clean masonry with?
The biggest one you can afford, we represent 4jet and proudly recommend them
What would it cost for a lazer set up like yours
A few hundred thousand dollars to get a European laser, van, generators. hence most go Chinese
So I take it that it won't work on pitted rust? Not really a substitute for abrasive blasting?

How much does the gas cleaning machine need for an hour of work, and what is the name of the gas used?
No gas is needed its an ND YAG laser, which uses electricity to create a laser.
