That's great thanks for that. I don't actually have a go pro but I have a cheaper version Xero-X which I haven't tried yet as just didn't know how to wear it. I have all the accessories including a chest harness. I'm not doing anythig near as much as you, eg fairly short (3 hour) trail rides but I only wan to film when we canter or gallop. I'll have a practice with the chest harness and see how it goes. Thanks again.
I’ve just got a go pro. Have been wearing it on my hat. I do find it makes it a bit heavier, not noticed my hat tipping forward though. I’ve been thinking about a chest harness but am wondering about the impact to your chest if you fall??
I think only you can make that decision - I decided it felt much safer on my chest than on my hat. I've never fallen directly onto my chest - sometimes my head, sometimes my hand, my knees, but not my chest.
@@RidingWithRhiwell I’m definitely interested in trying it out. Will be helpful for me to see when I’m recording and when I’m not…did a whole ride filming the wrong parts the other week! And great to be able to see what the camera is actually filming rather than having to refer to your phone to check! Super helpful! Thank you 😊
The best riding footage will unfortunately always be headcam for me, chest cams always make me feel queasy 🤢 just a shame no ones managed to ensure the safety of hat cams
I agree it's better, but I think the upside down chest harness is a close second these days! After switching back to head cam for day 1 of the dartmoor trip, i found it so annoying and, to be honest, my neck still isn't right from that fall, so i don't see myself going back anytime soon.
That’s great ! Would be interesting to have a video oversight of all you video setups :) go pro, pivo and other cams ?

This was really interesting. I definitely want a camera in the future. Possibly not a GoPro.
Can you do a video on what settings you use with your GoPro for riding.
I’m pretty sure it’s just the default settings. Might have made sure it shot in 4K but that’s it ❤️

I have a question:
Can you pause in the video while riding.
You can stop and start recording but not pause
