What do you think your hourly rate is going to be inside your Virtual Assistance business?

Thank you! I needed this. I’m starting off as a VA from India. I’m just trying to figure out where to start. Your videos help so much. 🎉❤

Im wondering if what I did was smart. So previously I had in mind for my service to be $30 then dropped it to $20 as a launch special. Can't even believe I was thinking to price my service as under $20 in the past before I came across videos.

This is an important realization to have. Making sure that your rate accounts for being able to pay yourself, taxes, business expenses and savings for future (to hire subcontractors, take courses, attend conferences, for example) is the key!

Can you do a video on monthly retainers? I have too much experience to charge an hourly rate.

    Is $40 a good start?

Absolutely! You may be offering higher end services or have a different level of experience than someone starting at $20 or $30.

Is $111 per hour fair to start with? I choose to become a Creative VA. I'll be offering design assistance for brand designers. :)

You may want to consider package pricing rather than an hourly rate for the services you want to offer.

@@thevirtualsavvy Thanks for replying! As a beginner specializing in design assistance, Is it okay to charge $675, $1,400 and $2000 for 5, 10, 15 hrs per week respectively?

@@Heartsx4everthat sounds about what I would charge personally. What have you learned so far in your journey?

Im a Pinterest Manager and I'm struggling with setting my package prices. This is a great video but it doesnt help me since it doesnt matter how long it takes me to do the work.

Even when creating packages based on deliverables instead of hourly rate it is still important to know how long it takes to do a particular task or set of tasks. Here's one example: Say it takes you 1 hour to create X number of pins. You might charge the equivalent of your hourly rate + 25% (or whatever mark up you choose) as your package price for that set of pins. Hope that helps!
