On the subject of bleeding... does bleeding them directly into the water cause the other fish to go off the bite? (plz excuse the newbie question). Having an extra thing in the kayak, i.e. a bucket, is a slight inconvenience.

I have the suspicion that it does. As when I have bled them into the water the bite has stopped now I don't do that and the bite has continued... but hey could just be luck. Then again the seals chomping them up while they are on the bite hasn't stopped them.

So basically every fish is essentially the same for filleting.
