After 20 years, our Matthew can at last rest in peace in this beautiful cathedral----safe from harm--forever protected. It was an honor to watch this beautiful service and Bishop Gene Robinson's words were eloquent and timely. The story of Matthew Shepard continues to inspire us all. May God continue to surround Matthew with his abundant Love & Grace and give continued peace to his family.

I don't blame the parents for burying him in a private area because I know that not everybody has accepted the idea of people who are attracted to the same sex. If you agree with me on this, can you please let me know how highly you agree?

@Jamal Robertson The Bible is harder on oppressing the poor, accumulating wealth while others are in need, and loaning money with interest than on any matter of sexuality. Those who choose a fundamentalist perspective can condemn anything and anyone they choose. Fundamentalism condemns LGBT people. Not God.

There is something that I hand wrote over twenty years ago and I feel it is as true today as it was twenty years ago or a thousand years ago and will be true a thousand years from now........well, if the world still exists, which I'm pretty sure it will not. I am a man so sensitive and so compassionate that I have lived my life with my heart and I have always tried to avoid these three things. Unfortunately, most people are not able to do this and that is why this world will never be at peace. There are three forces in this world responsible for the death of billions (YES, billions) of people and animals. They are Religion, Culture, and Ignorance. And they will all still be here when the very last person on this planet takes their last breath. Even the very best person with the widest open arms and the biggest heart and the kindest soul will fall into these three forces all or some of their life and think themselves with the greatest intentions, but somewhere in this world, those itentions will be the death of another. My heart cries for Matthew and all that loved him and all the billions and billions of people since time who have died at the hands of Religion, Culture, and Ignorance. Think of all that have waged religious wars on others through the ages and you will come up with at least billions. And now in 2023 going into 2024, this world once again repeats in every corner of this most beautiful world we live in.

Sorry, you will not be able to see and talk with Mr. Shepard in heaven as he is not there. In fact, no man is, if you believe your Bible. You'll both have to wait for the 2nd Resurrection to do that (Rev 20).

The US is a country of stark contrasts and conflict. Republicans vs Democrats, straight vs gay and trans, black against white. It's clearly NOT an example to follow. Why are we humans so self-destructive and full of hate? Have we forgotten that we're all in the same boat? What do we hope to obtain that is so important and more important than peace and equality? What are we afraid of losing? Too many questions are left unanswered. People prefer fighting to reflection, leaving many innocent people dead and simply creating more hate and confusion in what would otherwise be a beautiful country. As the song goes, "Nothing's wrong with the world, it's the people that are in it." Something is fundamentally wrong with society. Hurting others doesn't make you or anyone else any better. It's the opposite. If you're angry about something, discuss it with someone and come to terms with it. If mental health is the issue, governments must improve this service. And it's only through a solid and sound education that we can grow healthy and balanced adults.

    God 'IS' Love ❤
The Almighty God loves all of his children .
His judgments are righteous. He loves the sinner but rejects the Sin .
Holy , Holy , Holy is thy Lord Almighty. "Praise God "
Therefore you must know that Sin is an ABOMINATION to the Lord.
And "No" sin shall Enter The Kingdom of God .
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 Know ye not that the UNrighteous shall NOT inherit the Kingdom of God?
    Be not deceived:
    neither the sexually immoral,
    neither fornicators,
    nor idolaters,
    nor adulterers,
    nor effeminate,
    nor homosexuals,
nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
    10 Nor thieves,
    nor covetous,
    nor drunkards,
    nor revilers,
    nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of our Lord Jesus and by the spirit of God.
🔊 All must "REPENT"/ turn from sin to enter thy kingdom of God.
"JESUS" is the Redeemer of sins, The "Only" way to the Father in Heaven...
    God loves you... ❤
