Can we just agree this is one of the most beautiful cast of actors in series history. Carla is one of these rare people who get more beautiful as they age. Phenomenal series Netflix struck gold with this one
@jet6229 Shirley is definitely anger. Her siblings can’t even admit they took the money from the book because they feel like she’ll never forgive them for it. She’s very controlling and she won’t listen to anyone. If it’s wrong in her mind, then it’s wrong period. There is no compromise. Her husband is walking on eggshells with her for most of the show and then when the misunderstanding with he and Theo happens, it literally takes Nell scaring the crap out of both of them in the car for Theo to finally get enough of a chance to explain what actually happened without Shirley talking over her and cutting her off. You can even argue she’s angry with herself for having an affair and the anger she throws at everyone else is her projecting the anger she feels with herself. However you want to put it, Shirley is anger. Doesn’t mean the other siblings didn’t visit the anger stage in the show or that Shirley didn’t visit other stages of grief herself, but I definitely felt like she was the sibling most firmly planted in anger.
@RizztrainingOrder nobody is putting anyone to shame. Stop trying to build women against other women. They're all beautiful and there's no need for stupid competition. 🙄
Am I the only one that thinks Carla and Elizabeth look alike? Like they really hit the mark making these two mother and daughter. They look blood related to me. I mean this whole cast was perfectly casted.
The “Two Storms” episode is one of if not the best shot episodes that I have ever seen on film! And is iconic!! Alfred Hitchcock was actually really good at one shots like that and it’s incredibly professional and complex. So good!!
Madisita I said the same thing!! I’ve always found her very beautiful, but the way her hair is in the show I think really makes her look stunning. She also looks younger in the show in my opinion.
Congratulations to the cast of this superbly written and acted series. You have to sit through lots of bad movies to get to great ones. Haunting of Hill House is not just a one dimentional horror movie. The series uses horror as a vehicle to explore the family relationship struggles that are ultimately overcome. Every character developed in depth revealing their fears, failures and redemption. The message finally is that the only thing in this world or the next that has any meaning is the love of family.
When I saw this on Netflix I wss kind of skeptical in a sense where I was like "okay another horror film" but I said let me give it a watch. Honestly hands down one of the best series out there. This is not your typical horror film. I can't even call it a horror. More like suspense-thriller. There are some jump-scare scenes but its great. Love how they also incorporate family problems into it. Throughout it, its pretty sad. I teared up
Omg I am gutted that I finished the 10 episodes already it truly is a masterpiece, the guy who wrote it is a genius and the acting was second to none, outstanding. 👏👏👏👏👏
They all played such a believable family... the way they talked to each other, fought with each other, and cared for each other seemed and felt so much like a real family. These different actors pulled it off to genuinely and authentically present different individuals that are all connected in this way so it would be nice if they could all come together again somehow but they told the story so fully and completely that there isn’t anything more for them to do
This is now one of my favorite horror stories ever! If they were to continue the story with the characters we have grown to love and or hate. One of the big questions for me was there time with aunt Janet. There is a period of time that is lost to the audience. Also the ghosts from Hill house could have impacted the children during this period. We have closure on the death of the mother. But what about of the ghosts haunting the crane children that are left alive. I feel there is way more that needs to be answered and I dont want it to be the end for the Crane family. There characters and stories have me way to invested!!
Mine too....Being a fan of the Horror genre, I am in love with the series and thankful that its a series and not just one movie....gives us so much more in terms of good content
Me to...I wonder what went on with aunt janet...when they were teens...what went on when the ghosts were young and owned the home..like poppy ans her husband..etc..
I feel like the individual ghosts attached to each of the children were explained thoroughly. I do agree they could focus on Aunt Janet they also didn't explain why they went with the aunt. They didn't elude the dad went to jail so why didn't he raise them. Also a backstory on all the "random" ghosts would be great.
I started watching this because of Michiel Huisman (who I love) but everyone in the cast is great. And please Nexflix, do more shows like this one - it is so wonderful and well done. Thank you!!
I’m sorry but Victoria’s side profile needs to be talked about more. My goodness. And the pink eyeshadow. Mwah 😙👌🏼 Also, Kate is just stunning, and smiles while speaking, she’s so beautiful
Here is the amaze and the magic of such amazing actors: Imagine yourself in some way to have as a friend even one of those actors! You would look at them with such love and admiration because every time you'd hang out with them it would feel like you are in the part of the movie! Think of that. Each one of them was a part of this great story that they made us love them and carried us through this mysterious adventure! I wish i knew even one of them!! One more thing: The interviewer should also conclude the children on the set because they were so amazing and in such an early age they showed such a great talent, as also they were so loveable and cute! I am going to miss them!
So good.. So relatable regarding families dealing with drugs addicts... Suspenseful scary emotional perfection... Well done guys.... PLEASE WE NEED A SEASON 2!!!
I loved this show. I was hooked from the first episode. This is my first netflix series to watch EVER and I loved it. Watching and listening to the cast talk about the show is great and enlightening but my question is where is Timothy Hutton. I loved his part in this also. He did a great job as they all did. My favorite seen was with him and his on screen son Steven when they went back to the house. Please let there be a season 2!!
Also, what’s funny is I remember thinking at some point that Timothy Hutton and Henry Thomas resembled each other. Like Timothy should have played Elliot’s older bro in “E. T.” Timothy had I believe recently won his Oscar for Ordinary People, so yeah, that role would not have probably made sense to his agent. Lol.
Shows like this only amplify the difference in quality shows! It shows how great a story CAN be, if made with care. Blew other shows with double, triple the budget out of the water.
Everyone out here talking about carla and katie and how beautiful they are.. But are we gonna ignore the fact that Victoria is absolutely stunning and that make up too is 😍
"You know, when I was a little girl about your age, I was driving in the car with your grandmother, and we passed a house adorned with a forest of red roses. And I fell in love with that house, and with houses, all at once. I can live there forever, I thought. No one will ever find me there, either. I will light a fire in the cool evenings and toast apples in my own hearth. People will come to me to have their fortunes told, and I will brew love potions for sad maidens. I will have a a robin. I will have a robin. I almost named you Robin. Your dad even agreed. Robin Crain. But when I looked at you for the first time, you were Luke. You just were." -Olivia Crain
The best series ever I could not miss a second from start to finish what i love about it that its not based on the factor of horror only there is horror, drama, romance and family, it is wonderful good job (and i love kate my favorite one)
what a crazy studio Set up! LOL it's like they found the most smallest corner of a room and just shoved everyone there for an interview. The light that's right next to them is so distracting I can only imagine how annoying it must have been sitting right beside it.
Raise of hands of people who did not expect luke “Oliver Jackson-Cohen” to have an accent
Reminded me of Chris Hemsworth
I was surprised!!
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
Me, and may I say it is beautiful
‘Steve’ Michiel Huisman is actually Dutch but he doesn’t seem to have a accent at all.
Can we just agree this is one of the most beautiful cast of actors in series history. Carla is one of these rare people who get more beautiful as they age. Phenomenal series Netflix struck gold with this one
Agreed, not fair how gorgeous she is.
After peaky blinders cast 😁😘
Like the wine
💯 this complete cast top to bottom is ridiculous and I barely knew any one of them

All of the kids are the five stages of grief
Steven: Denial
Shirley: Anger
Theo: Bargaining
Luke: Depression
Nell: Acceptance
@Never Perfect Her therapy journey and the finale represent acceptance on her part.
Some of said religion (7 deadly sins) and different types of mental illness too
It's so strange cause I would have said Theo is anger and Shirley bargaining in some ways
Kate Siegel a.k.a Theo Crain 100% definitely the mix of jolie x gal gadot x megan fox. What a beauty
Carla gugino puts them all to shame in the beauty and acting department.
Also Kate Winslet
@RizztrainingOrder nobody is putting anyone to shame. Stop trying to build women against other women. They're all beautiful and there's no need for stupid competition. 🙄
I was thinking "you know the dad looks very familiar" and then I googled it. HE's the kid from ET! All grown up!
That's so cool! Now I get why, in episode 9, young Theo has a little E.T. plush in her backpack :)
@@nickydaniqueI didn't even catch that! going back to watch that scene.
OMG
IKR
😱😱😱😱😱
One of the best shows on Netflix in my opinion.. loved it 10/10
Next is elite
same i love the show
I 100% agree. The execution, writing, directing, acting on this show was on the next level. It was extremely well put together.
Am I the only one that thinks Carla and Elizabeth look alike? Like they really hit the mark making these two mother and daughter. They look blood related to me. I mean this whole cast was perfectly casted.
bloobeyond YES! I agree with you
I agree! I also think Kate looks super similar to Carla
If you're talking about Shirley and Olivia then absolutely. I actually thought both their characters were played by the same person at first
Pristine Berry so glad I’m not the only one
Molly McIntosh which is strange, I can’t point out why? But like, it’s a perfect casting.
Can we just appreciate the talent of the kids, even though they aren’t in this interview. Especially in episode 6 where they had long scenes.
"I'm doing... not great" is such a 2020 mood
Nell was the most impeccable character and I love her so much
Victoria is so damn pretty💕
This is probably THE most attractive cast I have ever seen
Idk Shirley a 5 head
One of the best shows ever, regardless of genre.
anybody that say they didn't fall in love with Carla is lying throughout their teeth
The actor who plays Luke is 😍😍
It’s Oliver Jackson Cohen
that "mama to be" shirt on Kate is soo cute!!!
The “Two Storms” episode is one of if not the best shot episodes that I have ever seen on film! And is iconic!! Alfred Hitchcock was actually really good at one shots like that and it’s incredibly professional and complex. So good!!
Can we stop for a minute and talk about how sexy is the accent of Oliver Jackson? And he is soooo cute....ugghh, I can't even!!! 😍
I'm in love with her since Spy kids lol
YES
Strawberry Pie Its an English accent
Wow Carla should really consider having long hair. She looks stunning in the show
Madisita I said the same thing!! I’ve always found her very beautiful, but the way her hair is in the show I think really makes her look stunning. She also looks younger in the show in my opinion.
The most unbelievable thing in the movie is Olivia having 5 children and still looking so good.
True I still can't believe she's 47!! She looks 30
And did you guys see the similarity between her and the Shirley actress? Really good casting.
@@tribe8342 Ikr. The first few episodes I was so confused who's who because they look so much alike 😂
The kids in the show were amazing
Scenestealers
What a fucking Perfect cast. Literally fucking perfect. Even the child actors were incredible. I gotta go watch this masterpiece again.
That 16 mins one-shot though!!! Amazing series!!
Before watching THoHH I thought Katie Siegel was really a disability actress. Her acting on Hush is so good.

Show was 10/10 hands down
Surpassed my expectations! Netflix should do more of this!
Kate Siegel (Theo) is married to Mike Flanagan, the director of Hill House. They named their daughter Theodora
Carla should be sitting! She’s an OG 😭
Omg I am gutted that I finished the 10 episodes already it truly is a masterpiece, the guy who wrote it is a genius and the acting was second to none, outstanding. 👏👏👏👏👏
Erica Mae and to think he is the reason behind Kate’s Mama to Be shirt
omg Carla is still so beautiful. I remember when I was younger watching Spy Kids, and having a huge crush on her
Same! Carla is like fine wine.
0:51 love how Victoria points to herself 'yep that is me'
They all played such a believable family... the way they talked to each other, fought with each other, and cared for each other seemed and felt so much like a real family. Late to the party, but hands down the best casting decisions ever made in TV history! 🤩👍🏼. And Ugh! Carla Gugino is Flipping Gorgeous!😍😍🙌🏼💯🤗
Carla Gugino gave the most incredible performance in this show.
Can't get enough of the Crains! We need more of the Crains, Netflix!
Carla gugino is in a beauty and talent league of her own!
terrifying but amazing show
Luke with a British accent 😍💀😍💀

LUKE CRAIN IS BRITISH MIND BLOWN
A truly fantastic cast and series. I was hooked and watched the whole series twice in a row. ❤️
Am I the only one who can see Rogue (X-Men) in Kate Siegel? Especially with the gloves.
I see more kinda Angilina Jolie in Kate Siegel with gloves on or not :p
I think Kate Siegel looks like
I thought that too, but she looks like Jean Grey with Rogue's powers
I was thinking more Shego.
I just watched the whole season of it and oh my god loved it. Can't wait for season 2 .
Carla's eyes are so beautiful, why can't she be my mommy I would take as many cups of tea
Agreed. Quench my thirst!
I’m so obsessed with this show !!! Amazing cast !!!
Is it just me or the cast is absolutely perfect ? The kids are perfects actors and looks like just the adults.. PERFECT
Such amazing actors, and the kids too !
best show ever i swear everrrrrrr hope there is a season 2 ...
not sure man the chances of them fucking it up and not living up to the first seeeason is high
I think that might ruin the show.
Agreed on that, I hope they don't make a sequel, it will just ruin the show.
one of the best shows and the best cast ever
The day I started watching, I cant sleep at night :-/ :P but I cant quit because I LOVE ittt !!! ;-/

Just wanna show my appreciation for Victoria's make up
I can't get over the fact that Carla is the same woman that I watched from "Son-in-Law".
Amazing cast!
Should also get the kid actors and older Hugh on there since they did an amazing job too!
They look like a real fam ❤️
I don’t know, but these family/cast(younger/older Crain siblings) really are wonderful.
it’s incredible how Oliver completely hid his British accent in the show omg
Those actors are AMAZING. All of them!
Beautiful cast
Amazing,Amazing show!! Absolutely hands down the BEST show I have ever watched!!❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I really love to see them together ❤️
This is one of the best shows to come out in a long time.
Such a great show very interesting 👍🏻
I wish they call those kids for the interview. They were amazing too!
One of my favourite shows ever.❤❤❤
Just amazing.
I can’t be the only one I thinks Elizebeth looks really young, I honestly thought she was 36 not 45.
such a good show! definitely one of my fave
Lol I’m watching this after watching the series so I will actually be able to sleep tonight
Love love this series Thai binged it twice!
The best series ever I could not miss a second from start to finish what i love about it that its not based on the factor of horror only there is horror, drama, romance and family, it is wonderful good job (and i love kate my favorite one)
oliver
Lovied this series
Oh my goodness, it just now accured to me that Oliver Jackson-Cohen is not the same actor who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series.
The best thing that’s been on telly for ages
One of my new favourite netflix series
what a crazy studio Set up! LOL it's like they found the most smallest corner of a room and just shoved everyone there for an interview. The light that's right next to them is so distracting I can only imagine how annoying it must have been sitting right beside it.
has timothy hutton done any interviews about the show?
Idk why but i think that carla, olivia she is the only Person who i loved in that movie!!
Why is Henry sitting and Carla is standing?!
carla is sooooo graceful and classic beautyyyy
I love this show and cast
Nell is my fav I like her smile😍
