I don't see the security here. The Trezor just stores your private encryption keys not the wallet itself. So as long as the Trezor site is up or whatever 3rd party wallet they redirect you to then you have access. What happens if you have your money in their private wallet and they suddenly shut down service? They need a way for you to back up your wallets somewhere that's independent of their service. So I know he said you could recover it even if Trezor goes out of business but I'd like to know how that would work if Trezor is storing your encrypted wallet? Also even if you could get the encrypted wallet back what software would you use to all the Trezor key to access the encrypted wallet?
Hello. I was setting up my Trezor and hit the next key before I got the phrase down and now my Trezor isn't any good. It was the first Trezor that came out. Do you happen to know if I can set it to the initial start phraze so I can use this thing? Otherwise I have lost $50. Thank you for your time.
Excellent review. You get 5 stars. Would have been good if you also mentioned the advanced passphrase protection for additional security so that even if someone knows your 12/24 word seed and/or your pin, they won't be able to access your cryptocurrency without that passphrase
The Trezor website is terrible for support. How do I add "supported coins" eg. Loopring (LRC), MakerDAO (MKR), Cardano (ADA) etc. to the Trezor Model T. As a newbie, I haven't been able to find anything anywhere that clearly explains how to do this.
Im using Windows 10, Chrome. Bridge shows its running in background in task manager. I'm trying to setup Trezor T for the first time. I click on "new wallet", then it goes to "preparing your Trezor" then "your Trezor is ready", and it brings me to the "transactions" page, and my Trezor says "Needs Backup!" . I tried wiping and starting again a few times. Same situation. It is skipping the part where I need to get the 12 word passphrase right? What to do? Thanks
Great video , How many different cryptos can this device store at the same time?... I know that My Ledger Blue can only store about 7 Different crypto apps on it.
Thanks. Trezor can store all supported cryptos at the same time. Since it doesn't have apps on the device there is no storage issue. It just unlocks access to your wallets which you can access on their dashboard. Then after that the Trezor is just used to confirm or deny transactions.
"by the power of two"? What if someone gets into my room and try to manually bruteforce my pin for like 20 times? I wont be able to use my trezor for years?
In that event, that is correct. You wouldn't be able to use that particular Trezor device. However, in that event, you could still use your recovery seed to recover your cryptocurrency on a new Trezor, another hardware wallet, or a mobile wallet 👍
Thank you for the nice video! My question: How can we transfer coins (bitcoin or others) from Trezor One to Trezor T, and, can we keep the same coins (as the same amount) in both wallets (for more security) and how can we do it? Can you make a short video of that? That will be very nice. Thank you.
use the recovery seed from the device with coins on it to recover that wallet onto the new device. basically mirrors the first onto the second (you can do this with any wallet, hardware or software).
nimarama72 I like the new 12 word because I can actually memorize it. The 24 was always too many to reliably remember. Statistically both 12 and 24 are massively hard numbers to break. Plus because each failed attempt causes a progressively longer wait time Brute Force attacks won't work.
That would be terrible if one of your children or someone just wanted to mess you up by putting in a bunch of fake or wrong pins so you would have to wait 30 years???
A person trying to get into your device would have to wait that long. But not you. If that were to ever happen you could reset your device and restore your cryptocurrency with your recovery seed that you saved when you first set up the device.
Ok thank you for answering my thought was thinking you might be able to do that just in case it was stolen you could just order a new one and use your recovery seed. Do you know if you can store Ripple on the Trezor T Model?
No you cannot currently store Ripple on either Trezor model. That is not to say they won't add support for it in the future but they don't support it right now.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Yea I forgot about that, that's a good point though. Definitely an extra layer of security.
If they had the seed they could access your crypto by inputting the seed into another wallet.

I’m surprised they went bigger. It would be awesome to have something that actually fit into my real wallet. Like credit card size.
Who knows, one day that might be possible. That would certainly be awesome.
Agreed, I like the smaller size of the original wallet. Plus touch screens are more likely to fail.
How do you add crypto currencies to the Trezor wallet, like DidgiByte?
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with DigiByte but there are tutorials online that will help you if you search "Trezor digibyte"
log into the trezor, scroll down the list to Digibyte, select the receive address and enter the address into the ending wallet.
Best review so far
Thanks man, I'm glad it was helpful 👍
We gotta start pressing everyone to get our coins off the exchanges

@@ImmersiveTechTV does this mean if trezor shuts down (as a Company)we may lose all coin ?

In that case, I would also recommend trying to find who did it (hey, maybe they left fingerprints), and make them pay you for a new Trezor T ;)

Yes, the Trezor T can now store Tether 👍
@@ImmersiveTechTV What about Monero?
@RCC Mike yes the Trezor T also supports Monero 👍 (the original Trezor does not).
Thank you. Love your work.

Trezor one is better in my opinion and also has 24 word seed which I prefer..
