Ibz Mo streetorvintage I think linked your a level results day video in one of her descriptions (of her video "A level results day 2016 advice") which I saw a week or so ago and ever since I watched that I continued to watch the rest! I kid you not you are literally like my favourite person on UA-cam and I rarely ever have anyone that I really enjoy watching! I can somewhat relate to having extenuating circumstances although they were quite different to yours, during GCSEs. I can't praise you enough for how far you've come, like I don't even know you but it makes me happy to see the change that this has had in you. Everything happens for a reason! You make really motivational videos just from being you (real) and it's really inspiring. The way you also are naturally funny as well makes it easy to not exit the video (BC why would I when you're so upbeat) I honestly can't thank you enough for using this platform to share your experience. Arkham4 64 yep it does, so if you had two 1 hour lessons in a day then you'd do 6 hours of revision. Then on the weekend you'd do 8 of course. If you have a job say 4 hours then you'd do 4 hours studying as work is like school in that it can be draining of course.

Biology A level sucks everytime you answer a question, its purely a gamble whether the examiner puts it in the mark scheme or not, regardless of how valid your answer actually is

THIS. Ibz you know the struggle. In my case, this was my dad who made THE EXACT SAME ARGUMENT when I said I want to self-study for my A-level. I can’t believe I’ve found someone else who has been through, I think, similar experiences to my own. I too have had significant extenuating circumstances, growing up in a dysfunctional family with an array of other problems I’m not even going to go into but your channel is a breath of fresh air. You are so funny! Inspirational. Real. I watch so many youtubers but I’ve never felt compelled comment as much as I have for this video. You are amazing and well done on achieving all that you have in spite of everything you have gone through. This is well and truly deserved. You give me hope and continue to inspire me especially through this A-level season along with other issues I have to deal with. You SLAY. You are a star and continue to keep shining. Neveah G ooo yess I second this. I did my personal statement already but it would be extremely interesting to see his 1) initial personal statement on the course he wanted to do previously and 2) his HSPS personal statement since it's such an original course which I only at Cambridge. Great idea
This has motivated me so much. I only got one A in my GCSEs and the rest were B's and C's. I've just started my AS year and my school runs an oxbridge seperate course thing, I signed up but I was basically automatically rejected because of my GCSE grades. I can't wait to prove the teacher who indirectly said i was not good enough wrong!

I can really relate to trying to prove everyone wrong! When I decided to apply to Cambridge, I was considered the joke applicant by everyone (even though I got 4 A*'s and 6 A's in GCSE's but everyone still thought I was stupid). My teachers, my tutor and my headmaster tried to talk me out of it but I stuck with my decision. Right before sending off my application on UCAS, my headmaster said that I was deffo not going to get even an interview. Well guess what, THE JOKE IS ON THEM ALL cause I got an interview when all the headmaster's favourites that he believed would deffo get in didn't even get an interview. Even though I didn't get an offer, I'm very happy for you and very proud of how much you turned your situation around!

Further on into Exam season (APRIL - JUNE) you will naturally change it and study for 10-12 hours instead of 8, but its a perfect starting point!!!!

Lol Ibz I've quietly watched all of your videos but think I need to let you know that you're legit the funniest guy. I applied for HSPS at Homerton and had my interview, it didn't go that well. Just love your videos and you are the reason I really want to go. Application results are coming out next week and I genuinely can't sleep. My head of sixth form said that I'd never even get an interview, so to get in would just be the funniest thing. Keep it up! lots of love.

The fact that you mentioned the inability to obtain perfect GCSE's could be due to just "having a shit life" made me subscribe to you.
I've not had an incredibly tough life but since GCSE's started, I seem to have one shitty thing happen after another. Nothing that can particularly be classed as extenuating circumstances I don't think, just a shitty few years that created a shitty mindset and a bleak out look on life.
I'm on a Gap Year re-sitting Alevels and it's just my luck that I'm going through another shit situation, but trying to remain positive and your lovely happy vibe video helped. I find revision this year has become an escape from all the shit going on in my life.

tina white I know I'm not who you were asking but I got A* I psychology A Level (OCR) and I made hella mind maps of the studies/theories (one box for method, pps, results etc) with the researcher name(s) smack bang in the middle and it really helped!
Okay so I don't know if this'll be helpful but I'm currently doing AQA A-level Psychology and I revise names by creating a story for the name and like relating it to the evaluation point or whatever

I literally want to hug you right now lol! For the past 7 months I have been getting so worked up about my GCSE results (A*BBCCCCC-I failed Spanish and IT oops) as I didn't achieve the grades that I was expected due to personal reasons at the time and it's just been affecting my outlook on my future and has a bit of a toll on my further studies at college. I literally smiled when I saw that your GCSE's are pretty much the same as mine and look where you are now!!! This honestly has given me such an optimistic outlook and motivated me to work so hard towards my A Levels to prove to everyone that even after a few set backs I can do it!
