If that report is accurate, I hope these people rot in a Spanish jail for a good while. People who own sailboats and shoot wildlife shouldn't own boats.
@@margiegurner2694 - some folk have almost been knocked off their boats being unaware of an impending attack - what do you suppose may happen to someone who is knocked off their boat into the water during an attack? Orca's have been known to kill Humans - those events are adequately recorded. The only time that animals may play 'games' or interact with Humans, is when they are trained to do some perverse trick or two - and I am no fan of animals being kept for Human amusement - and when they know food is about to be produced. Take the food equation away from the game and there is only the Human - too many folks have thought the way you propose only to find themselves dead or very badly mauled. The blame for these attacks may rest with those who fish the seas - any animal soon gets to realize that when food becomes abundant at a particular location, and that they do not have to hunt for - as in discarding the unwanted fish back into the water that has been inadvertently caught in the fishermen's nets - that is the location they will generally hang around in waiting for a 'free handout'. And, as any Zoo will promote, 'Do not feed the animals' on signs plastered everywhere because when food is freely given out, the animal who eats it will become accustomed to being fed, and become lazy in feeding themselves the right kind of foods. And, I will now revert back to my original comment regarding 'protected species'. Only the supposed, 'endangered species' including those that will prey on defenceless Humans, become 'protected' regardless of how dangerous they are to Humanity. Who gets to determine how any animal becomes, 'endangered', so to be covered as being protected'? The great white shark is on the 'protected species' list - and a result of that act of stupidity, shark attacks by this apex predator against Humans has increased dramatically. Are the numbers of any species that can then be considered, as 'endangered" and in need of 'protection', truly accurate, or, are we all being played as fools who choose to believe everything that the deceivers of this world tell us to believe?
What a topsy turvey world we now live in! Interesting how some of the most dangerous critters are also the most protected. Anyone who comes under attack from animals or marine life are within their god given rights to defend themselves, if they are able to. Those who make rules to protect dangerous animals over the inalienable Human right to self-defence or to protect their loved ones, needs to be locked up.

Try reverse engine for 10-15 minutes. Or gasoline or diesel in front of the boat...
see the crew of a cat were arrested by spanish police last weekend for shooting at a pod of Orcas west of Gibraltar

No one shot orcas. They only used firectackers.
they were let go 48 hours later with no charges. self defense is not a crime.
Has anyone tried to throw them something else to play with? Giant exercise balls or something 🤔 😂
I would suggest that you read some first hand reports from those whose boats were attacked. Orca's are very intelligent mammals.
@@terrenceodgers5866 I know...but there is a chance this is a "game"...could we replace it? Will not work if their purpose is revenge....🤷
