- A few years ago I released an enigmatic escape-room style puzzle book, "404", with an accompanying interactive website. In this series of videos, I work through each of the puzzles in the book and show how you can go about solving them, and then I go ahead and fully solve each of them. The 404 website itself includes lots of hints, especially for the earlier puzzles, but if you're stuck you can now also watch these videos. Just stop watching once I've given you the hint you need! I will never jump straight to the solution, but discuss what to look at and how to work out what to do first.

Yes, I plan to work my way through the book - eventually! And there will be more general solve videos, once we pass the print deadlines for a bunch of books I have due this year! :)

Hello! Thanks so much for commenting! Sorry for the lack of recent videos - both Laura and I have been completely busy finishing various books that will be published this autumn. We recorded a few solves about two months ago but I’ve had no time to edit them. It’s a manic year so far! So there WILL be more videos, but probably not until September now. Sorry! Unless I have time to edit some later this month, in which case they might start again much sooner. :)

Try Usborne super puzzles. They are hard! Especially this chart one.

Could you please share something about The Murder Mystery Club Puzzle Book: Murder in the Village?
Yes, certainly! :) It's the first in a new series of puzzle novels from Laura and me, in which you follow a group of local villagers who usually enjoy solving puzzles, but now have ended up solving a murder instead. There are 70 puzzles interspersed with text between each of them, and if you like Murdle or logic puzzles then you should (I hope!) really enjoy it. The first book in the series is due out later this year, with the second book currently due for May 2025 (UK publication dates).

Ravensburger made the submarine advent calendar. They also made a series of other advent calendars but they are only available in German. They have, however, created a series of 'exit puzzle' jigsaws in which there are a few (~8) puzzles to solve once the puzzle has been assembled, typically of the order of completing a sequence or finding a missing number. Is that what you're referring to? I've solved two of these, and did video one of them but haven't uploaded it, so I guess I could edit and upload that if that's what you mean? The quality of those puzzles is very variable, with some that cannot be fully solved except by guessing.
