My leaves, once planted, all died. However, one day the plant started growing from the root that the leaves had left. So don't get rid of the soil where the root is. Keep watering very little every week. It took a whole year.
Yeah...After a certain period the leaves will be damaged, but the bulb will remain in the soil, so it will gradually start sprouting, and it will take a long time to become a semi-mature plant.
@@JungleVibesJV que bello como cuidarla y que hago si se le ponen las hojas amarillas por trasplante? Muchas gracias ,me encanta esta mata que la tengo ,más no se cómo se llama
How long did it take for the roots to develop from the leaves? I tried unsuccessfully before 🙃 Also would you know what browning leaves at the top of growing zz stem indicates? I had that in a couple of new growth
It produces a small bulb from the second week and in the third or fourth week small roots appear above the bulb. Stressful situation can cause ZZ plant leaves to brown. If you notice any indications of pest damage or dryness, the leaves may begin dying off early. A brownish discoloration on the top surface of a leaf indicates a lack of sunlight exposure, whereas yellowing and drooping indicate overwatering.
@@JungleVibesJV based on your description I think it's the lack of sunlight, but I thought zz plants tolerant low light situation! I'll try moving it closer to a window 👍🏻

It definitely works well, just be patient. Germination period may vary slightly depending on lighting, weather and humidity. It takes a long time to turn into a semi-adult plant.
I took cutting from a plant i gifted a friend in March, not until a few weeks ago (June), did roots begin to show. Propagating from leaves can take a while. Have patience
Not every plant can be propagated by leaf cuttings though. If you mean Money tree than you’d have to do stem cuttings. If you mean Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomoides) than it is possible, but it is much easier and faster to just divide them or do stem cuttings as well. Leaf cuttings are nice if you want to make a lot of plants and don’t mind waiting a while, but there is usually a faster method.
Pothos have to be propagated with a node unlike these that you can grow from leaf, stem, or rhizome. You may have been able to re grow pothos from stem with nodes if they weren't damaged by the cold. Leaves aren't necessary.
It will take a long time to become these type germination to a full plant. I had grown from leaves using the same potting soil. Germinated but took a long time to be a semi matured plant

No need. Just put it half In soil, and keep the soil moist for 6 months. New bulbs and plants just like that. This is more for mass propagations, like for sellers.
took some leaves and got them to root pretty easy honestly though it took longer than 30 days for full roots and bulb. Put them in soil sometime last year and they are growing and have sprouted stems and leaves. They do grow very slow though so be patient.
Brilliant idea for plant propagation! Thanks for sharing this video. How many days were the zz cuttings in water before you moved them to soil? Also can you please tell me how you made the soil mix?
I tried to propagate leaves in the soil, but probably failed to water it enough and it didn't root. Need to give it a go with styrofoam, because those plants are absolute stars of my home ❤
In my knowledge and experience, they just need a base of the leaf that is not damaged. So just carefully twist the leaf off the branch and it should be good!
This definitely works. I have multiple plants using this method

Totally going to do this. I'm curious if they will grow stocks or if they will stay like this similar to the heart shaped philodendron?
ZZ plants can grow stalks from single-leaf propagations :) heartleaf philodendron needs a node, not just a leaf, for propagation.
Yes words you are absolutely right. ZZ plants can be propagated from a single leaf, while philodendron plants require a node
