Mads Mikkelsen is a better Hannibal then Hopkins, I think. Hopkins is to old, and in my opinion his face isn't scary. Hopkins is like James Spader as Raymond Reddington: A cool, bad guy. But Lecter isn't a cool bad guy. Lecter is a monstre. And Mikkelsens Lecter is that monstre.

No, no, you’ve got it wrong. He’s not the antagonist of the series, Jack is. Hanni is Will’s love interest and ally. Hanni actually cares about Will and wants the best for him. Jack just wants to use Will, doesn’t mind breaking him in the process, and is a bit of a thorn in the side of the blossoming love story.
You say that as if Hannibal didn't use will out of curiosity of "what would happen" when he had encephalitis. He didn't care how badly it broke him. Neither Hannibal nor Jack cared. They cared about the person, but they didn't care if they broke him

I love how he whispers back, he's mocking her perceived weakness, while Hannibal is perfectly comfortable in the situation, ready for the next.
Honeyball Lettuce is my all time favorite antagonist. Never agressive and rude yet is always in control of the situation.
