Still listening in 2024...Songs still powerful and thought provoking.
I listened to Steve Green's anointed worship music in the 1980's as a new Christian. Words are still as meaningful and TRUE tonight as I revisit his songs. JOY!!!
WE LOVE TO KNOW OUR DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, JESUS OUR TRUE LAMB OF GOD AND OUR MIGHTY HOLY SPIRIT!!. LEADING US TO FACE EACH DAY WITH ITS UNIQUE CHALLENGES!!. SOMETIMES WE FACE LOST OUR DEAR ONES LIKE MY HUSBAND ALMOST FOUR YEARS AGO!!. VERY TRUE!! Remember my wife sung this first song on a minus one audio tape in a bible study in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. And that was 34 years ago.
His music and commitment to serve Our God inspired our generation. And I just want to be counted, and honor His life. God bless!

How I wish that our current Christian singers sang biblical songs that Steve Green sang, not the ones that keep repeating over and over the same chorus. These songs of Steve Green are a prayer to our dear Lord Jesus. Thank you, Mr. Green for your dedication. Que Dios me lo bendiga. ❤

I had been first introduced to Steve's music back in the late 80s (or was it early 90s?) via "People Need the Lord". It had an impact on me as a musician myself (I'm a keyboardist and a wannabe music writer) and I enjoyed the "piano part writings" in most of his songs.
Just out of curiosity I'd hoped I could find some of Steve's music videos while still being part of the Gaither Vocal Band but alas, there is none to be found here. I have yet also to check the other groups the White Heart Band and TRUTH just to see how Steve developed into his present persona, it would form in my mind, a wonderful testimony by someone who'd been doing rendering his talent for God's glory thru all these years. Maybe a nice short biopic would also be wonderful.
And again another curious matter. I've been wondering how come Steve has never joined/reunited with the Gaithers in one of their musical gatherings and offerings, just like other singers have? Anyway, it's just an innocent thought/query. Thank you Steve for all the wonderful, heart-warming and spiritually-stirring songs thru all these years. I especially appreciate the song "We Believe" for it's bold and outstanding lyrics. Thank you.
