Thanks for getting back with me, the other than I wanted to ask was when adjusting governor do I turn throttle all the way over to full choke or just to the full throttle position
Do you have a video cleaning and rebuilding this carburetor, I am having a terrible time , I have cleaned twice , even used a ultra sonic cleaner, replaced gasket around jet. I have three tiny springs that was not attached to any linkage separate from the two governor springs. Not sure where they go. Do you have a pic or video. Thank you
Matt I really wish I could be of some help....sadly I fixed that engine July of 2021and I dont currently have one like it in shop ......However on Partstree .com they offer a full breakdown of parts so hopefully with any luck the pics will provide some help . Note that I remember how much trouble this carb was to clean as I did it 5 times before success . I think in the end I actually used acetone with dawn dish soap after four attempts with my ultrasonic cleaner wasnt providing the results I was hoping for . I put about 3 cups of water / one cup of acetone/and finally about 3 table spoons of dish washing liquid{dawn} then I placed a small steam rack at the botton of my pan so my carb wouldnt be resting on the bottom . I allowed the carb to boil ......and when I say boil .......I mean boil .....for about pushing 2 hours just adding a little more water as I needed .The nasty baby diaper material {broken down gas} was evident on the bottom in small chunks ......there was even gray tint to the water acetone mix with dish soap . The only reason I remained persistent was the price of the carb ....I forget what I was quoted but I remember it wasnt cheap . This method worked for me ......I can only hope it works for you .......It truly was one of the worst carbs I ever had to contend with .
