@@bronaghpatterson5605 thank you so much. i think our finishing time was 43 minutes but we had a ball running it and interacting with all the people. we even made a pact with one of the co-ordinators.

I find it amazing how fast you can pick up running, I never had intentions of running, couldn’t run a mile to save my life. Just finished my first half marathon in 2:00:38. The thought of running for 2 hours straight was just unfathomable to me just 2 or 3 months ago! Great video
As a new (again) runner, I found logging and charting my runs to be incredibly motivational, in the absence of any outside support. It keeps me eager for more, knowing that not only have I logged all those miles but today I'm 40 runs in, and 61% faster than when I started keeping track.
I totally agree. I bought a watch that tracks all that stuff after my second session. Helps a ton to be able to see your speed, distance, cadence, heart rate etc and it is really motivating to log and see these things improve as the weeks go by.
I’m commenting from America but as a high school cross country runner it is remarkable how much time you can take off your distance races. Over a years time I went from a 23:45 5k all the way too 18:15 back in November!

Love the channel for its relatable running stories. Only 27 but with serious knee problems for over a decade. Started jogging when i found out I could have a total knee replacement and now 6 months post op and parkrun PB is 31:07. Going for that sub 30
Go Ami! As someone currently at the running for 20 minutes stage of a traditional C25K I just want to say keep it up - it will get easier and you'll be amazed at what you can do! Great work Harry and Louise too with the encouragement and coaching.

Great job, Harry and Louise doing their best and Anne-Marie following their lead. It must be a dream to have an athlete like Louise training her. I hope it's the start of something and it would be quite interesting to follow the progression from 0 to many years of PB to follow.
Great stuff keep on going Ami 👍. Ive just completed my first ever race (half marathon) after starting to run during lockdown in Malaysia. Im 2 weeks away from my 50th birthday..... next year i promised myself i will complete a full marathon. 🏃🏃🏃
Excellent video. So much of running is about finding the internal motivation to get out there day after day. I'm interested to hear how Ami's determination develops over this month.
I really enjoyed this vlog! As a run coach myself, I've seen runners through these initial awkward sessions and watched their confidence flourish as they realize running is for everyone, including them! Wonderful stuff! Keep pushing!

Getting up and getting started is essentially the hardest part. Its such a drastic change from your current status quo and then the mental hurdle of seeing where you truly are vs where you thought you were physically and then what kind of commitment it might take to get where you want to be. It can be overwhelming. Step 1: Get up do anything to start step 2: be consistent with your activity step 3: Be patient both with yourself and your results
