Brunettes are still very, very pretty but not like the blondes….it’s only because from a distance, you can see the definition better with lighter hair, so the style (and skill) can be appreciated & admired more when you can see the intricacy without having to be standing right behind the person. The only time that this is not the case is when the stylist has woven pearls or small white flowers or ribbon, anything that’s light colored or shiny into dark hair so from a distance you get the sense of the details. Japanese Geisha is a good example of this. With African breaded hairstyles, what helps show those off, again from a distance, is the offset of the women’s scalp color which is typically much lighter than the hair color, hence the light/dark things works to highlight the pattern of the style which would not be the case if the two were the same or almost the same color.

Blonde hair shows off these styles the best! Brunettes are still very, very pretty but not like the blondes….it’s only because from a distance, you can see the definition better with lighter hair, so the style (and skill) can be appreciated & admired more when you can see the intricacy without having to be standing right behind the person. The only time that this is not the case is when the stylist has woven pearls or small white flowers or ribbon, anything that’s light colored or shiny into dark hair so from a distance you get the sense of the details. Japanese Geisha is a good example of this. With African breaded hairstyles, what helps show those off, again from a distance, is the offset of the women’s scalp color which is typically much lighter than the hair color, hence the light/dark things works to highlight the pattern of the style which would not be the case if the two were the same or almost the same color.
