635 was my first wndows phone and I actually loved the phone aside from the fact it didn't have front cam and no flash but was a great working phone even with the insider preview of windows 10 mobile... and the high memory compatability. I am looking forward to getting the 650 friday
The 925 still have the best design with a metal frame lumia.. But I love the classic lumia pillow case design like lumia 800, 900, 920, and thank God for the 730, their last classic lumia design released.. I'm so obsessed with that design that I picked the 730 over the 830.. I used to have a lumia 800 then I switched to android then I get back again to windows phone when I saw the lumia 730..
+Sejuani The design is really the only reason someone would ever pick an 830 over the 730... So if you prefer the 730's appearance, then there's NOTHING going for the 830 except for the cameras.
You talked about T-Mobile and ATT Compatibility and I will say this I have Cricket which was bought out by ATT last year. They are completely on ATT Towers and their LTE system (I have great signal everywhere). Now, you can transfer ANY T-mobile phone to Cricket (Same with ATT) and it will work as designed (something about Lumias being dual band to start with). So I a very sure that the same goes from ATT to T-Mobile.

It's unfortunate. That's a big reason I refuse to move to Verizon. I may have to soon and if so I'll likely get an LG G5 if I do have to move to Verizon but I'm not going to like moving away from Windows. I love Android but Windows is...my operating system. If that makes sense.
Zachary Boddy I ditched my 8x it's now my backup phone. Got the G5. Microsoft can't make "flagships" to work on ALL carriers, and asking them about it is like pulling teeth. Not to mention Verizon employees give you 2 diferent answers depending on who you speak with. HTC said we would get a A9 with a Software Upgrade to work on LTE for Verizon and that has never happened either. The SPRINT model might work no problem as Verizon uses most of the same antennas. The A9 us using LTE bands for Data and Voice now anyway.
It's not really Microsoft's fault that the Lumia 950 and 950 XL won't work properly on Verizon. Sure, maybe Microsoft could make more of an effort but Verizon has shown time and time again that they have no interest in Windows. Verizon won't support Windows and they won't sell them. Plus, Verizon is CDMA, so they automatically yet minus fourteen thousand points just for that.
From my experience the 635 does not come close. The 640 is more of the complete package. Other than a lack of apps these windows phones are ok. The lack of popularity of Windows operating system makes it less likely for hackers to try and get in the phone as well. Not sure about the 650.
I heared that the silver frame in L650 can get scratched easily. and the web browser is a bit slower than 640 and it takes longer to save a picture on L650. Is it all true ? I cant decide which is better to buy.
+Neowin Thanks for your Response. What bothers me in L640 the 8GB and some apps cant be installed on Micro SD Card. Which means with the OS you have only around 3 GB free.. Am i right? Also I have compared both of the in the shop also and it appears to me that the Display of 640 ( when it is off) is much darker than of 650 and not like what your video shows. i am confused. maybe it depends on the light.

It's kinda interesting about the logo change on the back. Mainly because a lot of the ways Windows 10 Mobile has been designed, especially looking at Microsoft's Windows Phone strategy, it just seems so similar to Apple, Apple uses just that apple on their phones. I really do think Microsoft is looking mostly at Apple when it comes to improving their Mobile OS

Battery life is solid but not spectacular, and performance isn't outstanding, but other than that a very nice device for the price.
Why didn't I take 650 instead of 640 XL? ;-; Well, camera is great in 640 XL, but the AMOLED screen? A lot better graphic card? DESIGN?! But, still, I love my Lumia 640 XL :3

For God sake, you are saying LUMIA 650 is fast... This phone is this slow that it's not even useable for daily use. Facebook App, Messenger App, WhatsApp, everything takes ages to start.
The 635 weighs 134 grams, 640 145 grams (heaviest), 650 122 grams (lightest). The 635 is also the thinnest at 66.7mm. Thin is good.
I've had a 635 for 2+ years. I like the size a lot. Not a fan of the bigger phones. Even Apple scaled back and offered the SE model.
What do you think about the difference between the batteries in the 650 & 640? Is the 2000 vs 2500 mAh noticable? Does one last longer than the other?

Lumia 640 capture 1080p video, the lumia 650 capture 720p video. The battery is better on the 640 and the games run better on the 640.

Hey rich just wondering why your 640 has that app switching window and has 4 tiles wide. mine looks the same as windows 8 and is only 3 tiles wide

I think the logo change on the back was to make the back of Lumia phones look like the back of the Surface.

or you could just unlock the code by not activating the phone and going to their website and providing them with the number they ask for ....

u should try speed test between 640 wp 8 and 650. I think it is a more fair test sice 640 was made for wp8
