The only aspect of uni that people tend to miss is the social aspect. But that can be easily adapted with new friends at work/ socialising with friend who are going to uni.. Apprenticeship has to be one of the best way to gain hands on experiences and gain a valid qualification and more importantly getting paid with zero debt. Its a no brainer. Wish you all the success.
Got to ask yourself, is the "uni life" (which basically equates to having zero obligations beyond study) worth the 50k of debt at the end of the 3 years? I think that's what people fail to consider. Sure, at uni you can go out more often for drinks, meals, have more house parties etc. But you have limited income to finance that and it'll bite you at the end. With an apprenticeship you have access to work socials, networking, extra curricular societies similarly to uni (particularly at large professional services firms such as the big 4) and of course you can just see your mates outside of work at your own leisure. You're getting free qualifications, free training, free experience, a decent salary and phenomenal networking opportunities to boot. A very strong foundation for your career, and frankly if you're the sort of person who always likes to be moving forward (like myself), the idea of uni can feel almost like stagnation. With an apprenticeship you're proactively launching your career and building a deeply strong foundation whilst most other people are partying on borrowed money.
Hey I really appreciated this it was so interesting. Just wondering do they know about your UA-cam channel and if so how do they feel about it. Because I also want to have a corporate job and start a yt channel however I'm scared how future employers may view it.
Yes they do know about my UA-cam channel, I actually spoke about it in my interview! I personally don't think they should view it in a negative way, my firm certainly don't! :)
From my own experience, I wouldn’t recommend an apprenticeship for anybody as if you fail your probationary they will just get rid of you, and trust me for an apprenticeship I rejected my uni course and I sacrificed my job as well for this apprenticeship and than after 4 months I found out I wasn’t successful that’s why I would not recommend an apprenticeship for anymore.

Well you're you. Just cause you couldn't do it doesn't mean other people can't which people who can do it and want to do it have the skills necessary for that job that YOU LACK
That just shows the apprenticeship has standards unlike degrees where they will take on anybody because they're being paid nearly £10,000 a year. Also, why can't you go back to university? Do you lose funding if you've been on an apprenticeship?
Idk of you will see this but I hope you do, im kinda at a loss I've applied for unis but nowww an apprenticeship sounds incredible btw both are for law, im not super academic and I have enjoyed the jobs I've had, I've been a teacher for classes of 25 students. I think im scared about missing my friends and the social life I've never got to experience at home but also money and responsibility sound good please helpppp
I do a degree apprenticeship 🥴 but I still have to go uni smh. I do uni as normal and work in holidays and get a job straight after, they kind of sponsor my whole degree. I agree apprenticeships are soooo much better

I'm really confused about how you keep saying you don't regret choosing this over Uni but doesn't a degree apprenticeship mean you still go to Uni like normal and have to do the same work in order to achieve the same degree? :)

hi, loved the vid it was very helpful but do you feel like you missed out on your teenage years because your working all the time and everyone else isnt and also do you work with people around your age or is there a big age gap because i heard that everyone is older than you and not in your age group and i want to make friend in my age group (im16/17btw)

COMPLETELY agree with you about not regretting not going to Uni - not jealous at all! Keep smashing it girlyyy 💃🏻🥰

Is it competitive? Did you find it hard to get into?
It is competitive but once you've got to the final stages there is less competition as there is a lot less people at that stage!
I doubt it. I know someone doing a Digital Marketing apprenticeship who got Cs at A level.
Thank you so much for this video! I’m thinking of doing a degree apprenticeship so this was super helpful❤️
