I always compulsively need to point this out, so bear with me here: Maleficent is pissed she wasn't invited to the party, because literally Everyone else was including her rivals the good fairies. In the time period this movie is set in, not being invited to a royal baby shower was a serious snub and basically asking for war, since it was considered to be like a national holiday. The King and Queen didn't invite Maleficent on purpose, and took sides in the conflict between the fairies. If they had just invited her, she probably either wouldn't have shown up at all or at least given a really kickass gift to the baby to compete with the other fairies, and none of the bad stuff would have happened, so yeah the King and Queen are idiots.

That's with the original story of Sleeping Beauty. This is the Disney version. Some people like the Disney version better than the original.
Not having period cramps is a much more practical gift than having a nice voice. I mean, you could have a nice voice anyway, but anyone with a menstrual cycle will probably have cramps. Maybe that was Merryweather's original gift.

Also, my brother and I have a theory that Dave is probably an alien and that's why he gets so confused when watching these movies. He still hasn't completely grasped Earth's stories.
(this would also explain his perfect Stitch impression and the fact that he finds goldfish sexy). I'd recommend watching out for him.

That scene with Maleficent in the fireplace gave me the worst fucking nightmares (Her + Sleep Paralysis = Childhood Terror)
My favorite part of this film; at about the halfway point, Aurora and Philip stop talking COMPLETELY. No more lines, whatsoever.

The spindle sequence has to be one of the scariest moments in this movie. Who can forget seeing Maleficent in the fireplace just standing there....staring with her yellow glowing eyes?

I found out my grandpa had a complication after surgery and isn't doing well. The only thing I could think of to make me feel better is to watch a ton of Drunk Disney! Thanks guys!

Hooray, Sleeping Beauty! This is one of my favorite princess movies. It is SO PRETTY and the music is great and Maleficent is great and just uggggggh I love this one.
For the next one, I'm putting in a vote for Meet the Robinsons because I unexpectedly liked that one quite a bit when I saw it, and I think it would be a fun one to use as drinking game fodder. :D
Also, favorite quote from Chelsea, when discussing the concept of the Tin Man and Iron Man being switched: "Instead of, like, 'Oil can' he's just like 'IRON MANNN!'"

It's funny that Sleeping Beauty is second to Dumbo for the least lines spoken in their own movie.... Dumbo doesn't speak, and Aurora has only 15 spoken lines of dialogue in her movie. XD
I agree. If only Aurora, Phillip and Leah (Aurora's mother) had more lines of dialogue in this movie.
To be fair, the movie is only 75 minutes, with a song at the beginning, a whole two opening scenes featuring Aurora as a baby, and then the second act having her asleep, there isn't a lot of room for talking. But I agree that all three of these characters deserve to talk more!
I always get upset because no one ever remembers prince charming and prince ferdinand(snow whites prince)... they have like 4 lines!! that's a lot less than aurora

I say the urban legend bout the dress color is true, because Aurora's dress was going to be blue but then people kept getting her confused with Cinderella because they were both blonde princesses in blue dresses. So then they changed her dress to pink. That's why in all the early marketing stuff Aurora is seen in blue but now she's in pink.
