I was born in 1960, but I do remember my father playing this music in the garage when he was working on the family vehicles. I must of have been 3 or 4. These women must be in their mid-seventies to perhaps 80 now. It was before my time, but these women sound ANGELIC!!! The video was posted in 2021, but was recorded before that. The lead singer was Arlene Smith, and she is not singing with these women. I wonder if these women are all still alive as that generation is dying off, unfortunately but life goes on. Does anyone know? Again @Richard Zielinki, thank you for sharing this video.

I'm just so glad they sang my favorite Chantels' song, I Love You So 14:50. All their songs are purely wonderful, but I Love You So is just so beautiful, just as beautiful as Maybe 35:57. And I can't leave out The Plea either 4:25. It's just a shame they left out I'm Confessin' That I Love You, another of their absolutely gorgeous songs.
Yes, except for Amy Ortiz who they said joined 2 years ago, but this concert is from 1996, so the girls are in their 50's here. Not only can they still sing like they did back in the '50's, but they really still look great too. What an awesome treat this is!

Well, I'll disagree with you on that to say that "Annette Smith (no relation to Arlene), who took over after Arlene left, was much better than both Arlene and Ami. Just check out her leading The Chantels on "STILL." Amazing quality, control, and operatic soprano skills. :)
