I think the people who think who understands these systems are by far underestimating what big throw this F-35 is.
Yes - it is over budget [like basically every single 4+ generation jet] - and it had its set backs [like basically every advanced system].
But it is really the connection of the systems and the "built in software suite" which will set the F-35 apart.
There is a video where a reputable Russian military-aeronautic expert has only positive thoughts about the F-35 - and I tend to have a similar stance.
The F-35's DAS with its augmented HUD is the most advanced system of the world - by a stretch! You probably will never hear about its advanced potential, because simply the technologies are classified.
Let's face it - nowadays details make the difference - but especially details are all classified and secret in a warfighter!

impossible dreams. so you can fight only with the Papuans. Why the Americans think that only they have the optical systems and radars AESA. That's ridiculous, defense against this type C300 from the trough with wings no chance naive developers do not assume that ground air defenses are far more powerful than the antenna and systems on aircraft and detect targets at ranges of about 300-500km. moreover, they are why we decided that no one except Amerkiantsev no modern AWACS and satellites. Why would the developers of F-35 decided that if they saw a rocket and shooting trap the ravketa necessarily fly in the trap? Examples cause an infinite set, which only cost rockets that fly on the flight back to this nonsense have to guess, because the attacker behind the rocket plane would fly in a straight line and catch up with the F-35 earlier than the rocket that need to be developed, besides attacking the aircraft may, after Start right away.
In general, I feel sorry for the Americans as they have begun marasmus.

Look - here is some constructive feedback: you are commenting on a promotional video of Northrop Grumman.
First - nobody says, that only America has AESA. We know, that contemporary Russian fighters [as well as next gen Chinese fighters] have AESA.
Second: I am sure, that the developers are not "naïve". But they won't disclose eventually ten of thousands of people their classified systems.

stealth is the advantage, combined with internal jamming f35 gets close and takes out S300/S400 combine that with decoys and Sam sites don't stand a chance

It is waiting for you on your tub. Our C400 will be the most expensive training target. Initially adopted its take. Already 19 years delayete and can not do. F35 is a shame the US aerospace and stategicheskogo planning.

I said often enough, it is absolutely an open outcome - neither the F-35 (or F-22 or even the B-2's) nor the S-400 are certain to be effective against the opposite system.
The Russians have no stealth design, which is comes close to the stealth air frames of the USAF. Yes - off course, they can claim that the S-400 is able to track stealth airframes, but how could they even confirmed it to themselves??
I think, the US have a slight advantage, as the S-400 is using conventional technology and just developed it far further. However I am sure, that DARPA has similar prototypes, but I am not sure, if they have ever been tested.
I also don't understand, why you say, that it is 19 years delayed. This is far from the truth - especially when only in 2001 the producing companies were formal confirmed.
Yes, the idea is older, but a delay is related to the projected introduction date, and while the F-35 is delayed (but it is also now fielded), it is far from almost 2 decades delayed.
What most people don't understand is, that the F-35 is a) one of the most complex fighter aircrafts ever produced (which increases the possible problems exponentially, but also increases its potential). b) The F-35 is far more as its controversial hull - and even far more than its stealth. It has radar evading technologies and god knows, what else (as most systems are still classified).
      c) Fact is, that Russia developed their PMF (PakFa, T-50 - however you like to call it). If they would be so sure, about their anti-air technology and if they would be convinced, that a stealth aircraft is easily trackable, they would not have spent dozen of billions of $ into the development of their own stealth airframe (same applies to China, which already got their S-400 and probably warmed up their copymachines). Logic goes this way: if we can build one advanced system, our opponents will be able as well - maybe with a slight delay - but not a delay which is as huge as the development cycle of a plane.
      d) Russia is known to "troll" with its technology. There are several instances, but the last one was, that they communicated, that they have a working plasma stealth device on all of their fighter aircrafts, which is better than physical stealth. As we all know, they revealed a couple of years after their T-50, which proofs, that their claim of plasma stealth was totally taken out of thin air (the concept, of plasma stealth is in fact correct, however the application is utopia, at least at the current status of technology).

No need to be highly intelligent to understand that that F35 Too heavy and has poor traction engine for the fighter, bomber, he imee small load, but as he did not attack and tenacious road. Americans for some reason you believe that once you have advanced technology. Stealth works well against one of the radar, but he can not hide from the integrated air defense which includes satellites, the-horizon radar, and hundreds of other radars and systems. Almost none of the video clip (and the information fed to you in the form of clips) do not have a minimum of criticism that the DAS that the AESA radar. DARPA leads you by the nose, for all time any standing development has not submitted. As concerns Plasma stele it is but it has a side effect, the plane just did not see because of the plasma bag anything your system and does not make sense. The difference from your F35 our T50 flies better than any of your aircraft has better weight distribution, and has compartments for large powerful rocket, very powerful engines and better than your radar and optical system were more Mig-29. A design T50 dictated by its variable speed, it should be effective in the entire range from small to 2M, with a delta wing design and powerful mechanization that corresponds. Yes applied elements of stealth design, why not, but we have "invisible" do not put in the 1st place, because they know that it does not happen. Remember the F-117 is absolutely not visible in the end knocked antediluvian complex where outdated when even my dad served. A Papuan type Libya can and airplanes to bomb 50 years why build a machine to do that stands as our missile cruiser. All this high-tech it is absolutely not practical in a war. This pure white hangars horoshr he looks, and potions piled with dirt and debris, soot from pazharov I'll see what he will give it your ALICE. The United States has long been a military power, obsolete tanks, aging fleet, aircraft useless and most unfortunate problem with brains have command.

It is so easy to impress people who do not understand these technologies. You show them a color touch screen and they are all over it. People; F-35 was supposed to be a light weight, low cost dominance fighter, and it has been anything but! Secondly, it is nothing like F-22.
