    Dr. Cucuzza, thank you for sharing these great sermons and great truths. My question is this: As a young Christian 20yrs.old, I was growing in Christ and believing in Christ alone, His blood, by grace, for my salvation. I did exactly what you described.... flirting with old sins of the flesh. It led me into bondage again. It was a battle for awhile, but eventually I was a slave to my flesh again and being rebellious. This went on for several years. It brought misery, torment, and many severe consequences through chastisements.I came back home to the Lord several years back, and I am still reaping consequences, although by His mercy, God brought me back like the prodigal, I was absolutely in the pigpen. My question is, when we return from such a thing as what I did, when we recommit our hearts in submission to God, seeking to know Him more, and putting Him first...can we become useful again for His kingdom? Can we still be restored in joy, assurance, peace, and intimate fellowship with Jesus? In other words, I must have lost a lot , I'm wondering what can be regained and restored and to what degree? Thank you for your help 🙏💙

    I've heard it said that unbelievers don't pay for their sin and that even the unbelievers sin is paid for. They said the unbeliever goes to hell strictly because they deny Jesus and that their sin is never brought up at the great white throne judgment. I don't know about this view and it had me confused because I always thought unbelievers pay for their sin because they are unbelieving.

      When Jesus Christ died on the cross he paid for all sins for every person past, present, and future. However, the payment needs to be applied to each person individually. This is done by each person believing that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again. When you do that the payment is imputed to you (put to your account).
      Romans 4
      23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
      24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
      25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
      When God then looks at a believer he no longer sees their sin but rather Jesus Christ's payment and therefore does not judge us by our sins. However, a lost person (someone who does not accept Jesus Christ's payment) will be judged by their sins because that's the only thing God can judge on at the point. In the Revelation 20:12 it says that the dead are judged according to their works. In the context it's referring to lost people. The book of life contains only the names of believers, the other books contain the lost.
      Revelation 20
      11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
      12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
      13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
      14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
      15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    How do I know that I actually believe that Christ is God who Saves, that I really trust Him as my Savior, that salvation comes by no other means, but by The Grace of God, through our faith in the perfect works of The Cross and His resurrection? How do I know that I am not just faking it?

    • @jjsmoley
      @jjsmoley Рік тому

      There are no other actions you need to take other than believing. Either you believe it's true or you don't. You can't really fake it because it's not based on any works or deeds. Every day you believe certain things are either true or not true. You probably believe that gravity exits but there's nothing you can do to change that fact.
      1 John 5:13 tells us we can "know" for certain we have eternal life and that it's simply by believing.
      1 John 5
      10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
      11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
      12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
      13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
      Maybe this series "Secure Forever" from Pastor's might help.

      Hi friend, I know you asked this a while ago, but it seems like your focus is on yourself and not on the savior.
      You don’t have to have faith in your faith.
      I’m those moments of worry, think of Jesus.
      You don’t have to “know you believe,” you just have to believe. You don’t have to “know that you trust Him,” you just have to trust Him.
      Stop thinking of yourself and think of Jesus and you will have peace. I hope this helps. I used to struggle with the same questions and the only answer is Jesus Himself.

      Because God promises that you can know.
      1 John 5:13 - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

    Hello everyone, I have a genuine question. I recently came across these sermons and have realized what it means to be saved, Calvinism has really tortured me the past few years. But one thing I have a question for is the gospel presentation that’s done at the end of these sermons where Dr say God hates sin and loves the sinner. What about Psalm 11:5 that says, The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth? Does anyone have insight?

      There are many words in the Bible that mean something different compared to this day and age. Hate in this scripture is a matter of favor/judgement over someone’s life, not a literal hatred for people. God loves and hates very differently from mankind.

    Romans 8:13--"If ye live according to the flesh ye shall die..."
    A believer living in sin (according to the flesh) will die spiritually/lose his salvation.

      Death in that verse is referring to physical death, not loss of salvation.
