- hello everyone! my first video about yuzuru speaking english got some attention so I wanted to make a part 2. If you like it please leave a like and subscribe for more yuzu content. 🐳

About the video
-This video was originally supposed to be somewhat troll-like but ended up with yuzu's emotional interview sooo yeah. there's that.
-I listened to that part so many times and I don't hear anything other than 'javi'. if it's something else please let me know!
About yuzu's english
-Yuzuru has fans from all over the world so I think we can all understand how hard it can be to learn and talk in another language. I believe yuzuru is more careful with his words in public or when he is under pressure. when there's an interviewer who makes him relax he seems to get a lot more talkative. his english has also improved so much over the years so I'm proud of him.

Considering he trains in Canada and his trainer is Brian Orser, his English seems like it’s at the level it should be. Just keep in mind that everyone absorbs/learns foreign languages at different levels and degrees of fluency.
he is good at math and science, but not foreign languages, typical Japanese boy.
Furthermore, he's never socialized with any skaters off ice. His english might be better if he was a social butterfly like javier, zhenya, oda or miki...

@@brugueshj559 he is not anti social, he said he want to, but he pour all of his thought and time dedicate to figure skating. So he mostly socialized just on ice after competition/gala or ice show. You can saw him actually kinda chatty and playful at gala practise. But he never socialized outside the rinks like anybody else.
@@ninetynice99 agree, Yuzuru is definitely an extravert, but he seems to have a language barrier, he has no so many people to talk outside an ice rink. Moreover for Japanese it's hard to learn foreign languages, but Yuzuru does his best as always!
but hey, at one of the press conferences this year or last year, the translator was SO bad, he translated himself from japanese to english and vice versa for the reporters

I think his English improves a lot this year! He actually made himself very clear in the last piece.
I literally don't know anything about figure skating but I've fallen for this man and I can't get up. I can feel his emotions when he skates even if I don't know all the technical things about skating and jumps and other things. I just think he's a really big inspiration :)
he really is~ i think that's the reason why many people have fallen for him. he's a really good looking man and has a great personality but the first thing that charms everyone is how he can speak through the language of skate. i respect him so much ^^

All jokes aside, when he said "I bet my life to skate" plus his expression, that sentence made my heart skipped a beat. Knowing that he has been suffering from asthma and it can occur anytime during any program and sudden injuries during practice or performing, it hurts me. Imaging betting your life for something you truly love, your whole passion, the meaning of your life and it can all gone without you knowing, it must be extremly devastating and heart broken..
i'd learn japanese to talk to this man just once in my life.

I never thought I'd hear someone say "I'm going to the forest for the pooh" but I've heard it now, thank you Yuzuru. ( 2:22 )
You can tell he’s nervous when he speaks English, but when he starts speaking about skating, that’s nervousness dies away and I love it. He loves skating so much and you can tell because his voice changes. There’s less fear of making mistakes because he’s talking about what he’s comfortable with.

I agree with one of the comment i saw. Japanese are very cautious when they talk. Japanese is a accurate laungage so Yuzu got used to his way to pick the exact words when being interviewed. I like that of him more, always nice. I think random daily talking is not a problem for him after living in Canada for long enough and as smart as he is.

With so strong a passion, fluency is really secondary. You can feel him.
I want a passion as deep as yuzuru's for figure skating
His diction and vocabulary is actually good. He doesn't have a heavy accent at all. It's interesting though that his voice raises an octave higher when he speaks English versus Japanese, but that's just language. Different tones.
I'm spanish and my voice raises the tone too when I (try to) speak english, I think is because the acent in english language
