Getting the Switch Lite for my little nephew this Christmas. I know I am getting him Minecraft because I know he loves it, but also looking at this game. It is between this and Animal Crossing. I am learning more towards this and Mindcraft. Then he can save up for others 🙂

You can buy controllers to use on your smartphone. However, your limited by the games. People buy nintendo switch for the games it has (Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Luigis Mansion, SSB Brawl), those games can be only played on Switch. He's 6 so may have some idea of games he's herd of from friends at school, maybe ask him what he likes or what his friends play before you make your decision.

If your on switch lite make sure if you only have one contoler to press 1 player with online and 1 player for wireless
