Having been in heavy snow areas I understand the concern with the weight accumulated snow creates. This “use what ya got” approach solved the immediate concern for what might be a once in a lifetime event. It also was a test bed for adapting to reality and responding with individual initiative. When we were hit hard in 2016 (buildings collapsed) we had to hire someone to clear the load due to age.
Thank you for the response. I'm sure hoping this is a one time event. I'll probably just unscrew the "handle" and store the bucket with the plastic attached under the house or something just in case....besides, I need the steel rod that is inside the PVC for a different project.
