@Chaps69xom sorry a pre-existing punk rock band of the same name got mad at them and they got forced into the name change. It was a band that’s in the UK

This WHOLE FUCKING GENRE....sure it makes me cry but...these sad fucking songs about loss, grief and heartache are just..the only thing that makes me feel now, other than that, it's all a bleak nightmare and my soul HAS A MASSIVE FUCKING HOLE. so thanks for making stuff so emotionally striking yet still musicically legit and FUCKING METAL.....also I ordered Lost Souls, its currently en route to my house..

I was browsing my release radar on spotify and was recommended Captives, Signs, matter of fact..and man..fell in love immediately. I had just been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma, felt like i was "hiding in the background, while they all lived their lives"..and had to tell my wife and 7 year old son that I was terminal, and the BEST I could hope for was a 50/50 with immunotherapy. That was September 14th 2021, they wouldn't even give me an estimate on how long I had to live..well, I'm here to say..THIS band hit EVERY emotion, feel, struggle, and pain that I was feeling at the time. Haven't found a single song I don't absolutely LOVE. SO grateful I didn't miss out on future songs because of the name change. BUT, I'm still here, over 2 years later. Still listening, still alive, and have another son..born July 21st 2023..A CANCER! Tell me that's not a coincidence, haha! And as a musician myself, I ALWAYS end up critiquing every band..but I can't with Caskets..every single instrument, song, & lyric..have so much meaning, emotion, and just tug on the heartstrings. There's at least 2-3 songs EVERYONE can relate to. I've shown this band to ANYONE who would listen. The wife and I said we WILL attend a show at some point, JUST to give this man a hug. He got me through some VERY tough times! And we often say we are going to just ask how he is, clearly dealing with some pain, trauma, and seen the worst of the world and the people in his life..but definitely found a way to deal with it, while helping others do the same. Much love, guys. You've saved me from my darkest times, thoughts, and trauma.
