What a presence.
It's like post-grunge, post-hardcore and post-nu metal rolled into one massive, epic and emotional invocation of the rebirth of metal.
I absolutely love their sound. Everything I've heard from them has such profound effects on my ears lol. Happy these guys got recognized, they deserve it

It went from being the stepping stone into hardcore bands to the more melodic and harmonious sound we have now. Caskets, Imminence, Hands Like Houses(favorite band, but the Dissonants album is the one that's technically post-hardcore), Speech Patterns and Holding Absence are my favorites in this genre
One of the best voices in modern rock.
Whoever did the mixing on this track knocked it out of the park.

Sad to hear they got forced to change their name from Captives to Caskets due to a Australian band that trademarked the name Captives in the UK. If they didn't change it they would be forced to take down all of there content (videos, music, etc...) from all platforms. Still glad they are around 🙂.
They were not sued just different captives band sign up their name for the band as trademark. So to avoid of some issues they renamed.

Your becoming one of my fav bands to listen to to get pumped at the gym, at work or just on the road driving to a destination. Also I feel like a lot of the songs lyrics I can really relate to as well. Everything just works together so amazingly. I remember like 10 years ago a band from australia mssgd my bands facebook page saying we better change our name before they took legal actions against us. I just laughed and told them to fuck off, cus we are in completely different countries and they werent even well known. Nothing ever happened especially bcus it was a common name and we had been established 2 years prior to them
I came here looking for this, I just ordered their Ghost Like You CD, and when I was putting it on my Itunes, (I know, I still physical media though) I couldn't find the artwork, because my album says Captives still. That is sad indeed, but I'm happy they are still around too.
They never disappoint. It’s rare nowadays for a band to never make a bad song.
