    Here's the thing about guns, as long as your gun shoots straight and on target, everything else is just icing on the cake.

      I went to a competition with a stock m&p sport 2 and was laughed at because all the people around me had Gucci suped up rifles that they spent $3000+ on. At the end of the day I came in 2nd of 209 because I actually could shoot. #1 was a regular competition shooter who blew me away but he was the outlier lol

    I got an mp sport 2. I changed the plastic rail guard for a quad rail. I added a forgrip. I spent the time to zero in my red dot. Everytime i got out to the range with different people they come with sig ar15 or Daniel defense with nice red dot scopes. Once we start shooting there red dots weren't zeroed in or something is loose, or the rifle wasn't lubed right. It just made them unpleasant to shoot. Everyone was surprised how reliable and accurate my rifle shot. Just cause its more expensive doesn't mean its better. Spend time with your guns and feel how they work. Its the user that counts not the tool.

    Minalmist Stock, Amend2 Grip, Magpul Carbine Length Handguard. Magpul Sling, a good LPVO 1-6 along with back up irons, and a Rise Armament trigger.
    Ambi-safety if you must, as a right hander, I find it unnecessary, although I do have them on several of my rifles.
    Stay vigilant and Happy Shooting

    I have a S&W Volunteer XVI in 5.56. It's a great rifle, i didn't change much on it except for the shitty charging handle. The trigger on it was actually pretty good (it came with a flat face S&W match trigger). I consistently get compliments on it at the range.

    Flatwire spring: costs money to fix a problem that isn't really a problem while adding weight. I like most of your other picks, but would have added a folding rear sight. If this is a rifle to learn fundamentals, learning to shoot with irons would be on my list.

    My first ar was an m&p 15 I bought for 700. For 600 more I put a stinger hg, changed the trigger, buttstock, grip and put on a muzzle brake. For optics I put a bushnell engage 2.5-10 in a warne mount and sold it to my wife’s sister for 2000 dollars. 😂😂😂😂😂

  • @VeryFastRodi
    @VeryFastRodi 25 днів тому +2

    Bought a budget rifle, but due to import and tax here in Europe (and me wanting something specific) my optic setup was just as much as the price of the rifle 😂
    But it does give me a total setup which i am super happy with and gives me a great general purpose rifle for my needs.
    I would say the biggest part i love is the trigger, Mimtac 3,5lbs single stage drop in unit.
    For the price of €150 , i feel you cant get a better trigger. Slow shots at distance are a breeze and fast follow ups at closer distance can go so fast it almost feels like having a full auto function.
    And a great way of keeping price down a bit here and there, using foregrips or mlok/rail covers, a pistol grip or even buttstock from an airsoft store work just as fine. For a far better deal and you can also use things like that to test out maybe something without braking the bank.

    M&P has served local law enforcement and other agencies for years. A few new companies come out and add gucci shit and genius marketing,.. next thing ya know.. M&P is an entry-level rifle.
    Damn.. i spent $1,000+ on an M&P Tgen2 entry lvl rifle. 😅 .. then another $1,000+ on bells and whistles. .. is it an intermediate rifle now? 😂 ...
    Does 7075 t6 aluminum and 200$ trigger make it advanced duty ready? ... 🙄

    I have a sport 2 optics ready. So far it has geissele trigger, lpvo, adjustable buffer and heavier spring because it's suppressed, charging handle that's supposed to direct the gas to the side (I don't know if it works) Hogue grip and buttstock. I want to do a handguard but then I'd have to get a low profile gas block.

    If you have a stock rifle you don't use much, you likely don't need a weapon light. Grip, red dot optic, rail, vertical grip / hand stop / bipod is better priority. If the trigger fires when you pull it, then you don't have to upgrade it. If your adjustable stock can be shouldered in a usable position, then you don't have to upgrade it. If you can bring the weapon into battery with your T handle charging handle, then you don't have to upgrade it. A sling is always worth it.

    • @Eckehardt_
      @Eckehardt_ 18 днів тому

      You sound like you would justify the lack of using a sling because you think a bipod is all you need. Okay boomer

  • @warrior21poet
    @warrior21poet Місяць тому +6

    Spending almost $500 on "upgrades" and not addressing the optic is a big fail. Before wasting any $$$ on minor things like the grip, buffer, stock, and even trigger, focus on an optic upgrade and a rail OR cheaper means of mounting a white light. Priority on upgrading a stock rifle should be: 1. Optic/sighting system to improve engagement range, 2. White light and mounting solution (bad things happen more often in the dark and positive ID is paramount), 3. Sling (you may have to climb over an obstacle, transition to a sidearm, OR, as we saw in the Rittenhouse incident, sling your rifle and put your hands up to show police you are not a threat. AFTER those needs have been met, assuming you already LOTS of magazines and ammo, then consider the other upgrades. The charging handle is an OK upgrade as it improves the functionality/clearing malfunctions, but consider how much WIDER that upgrade makes the rifle if you have to store it in a thin hard case or limited space container, AND make sure it's not going to catch on everything/other gear/your sling etc.
