I grew up in Butte and left not long after I graduated from Butte Central in 1978. I've only been back a few times since but that town is still a big part of me to this day.
Studied engineering there over ten years ago! Lot's of great memories. Lost my best friend to an accident on Park back in 2012 before he would have graduated.

visited Butte Montana once when i was a child. its what has always endeared me to the Northwest part of This Great nation.
We stopped building towns this way in favor of strip malls and subdivisions and the country is so much the poorer for it.

When I lived in Idaho, Butte reminded me of PA (Johnstown, Oil City, Altoona, Williamsport). The best thing about it is that it is not in PA.
